It's Friday! The weekend starts today!

Morning all,

Hope you've had a good week, if not, never mind, it's the weekend - ENJOY

I was recently commissioned to make a series of 15 Christmas cards for the girlfriend of a friend and today's make is from that batch - whilst not inherently masculine I do feel they certainly could be sent to male friends ... just in case!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

And my matting layer, complete with border - I LOVE this scribble image
Materials used:
  • Two white C6/A2, 250gsm, cards and matching sized envelopes
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one of green (for each card) cut to  mat
  • On the green layer I stamped the Precious Remembrance Shop scribble (from Sketchy Christmas) multiple times as a border, using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment (from Sketchy Christmas) and scribble stamped using MFT hybrid black licorice ink
  • Precious Remembrance Shop tree image (from Sketchy Christmas) stamped using MFT hybrid jelly bean green ink
  • Stardust stickles used to bling up the tree

And the batch of "the same but slightly different"? They look like this ..

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. The Merry Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 42 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
  2. Sweet Stampin' Christmas - November 8th challenge - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
  3. Crafting by Design - November 8th challenge - WINTER SPARKLE
  4. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge EXTRA - November challenge - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
  5. Happy Little Stampers - November's CAS challenge - CAS CHRISTMAS

I just found out that my card was a top pick over at the Merry Christmas Challenge, thanks peeps

I was recently asked if I made sympathy cards, well, of course I can but it's not something I like to make a lot of, for obvious reasons. I do, however, prefer to make them when I don't NEED them so set about making a couple for my friend. This is CAS to the Nth! but that's kind of the what's needed, isn't it? Nothing to detract from what you might write inside to offer comfort.

  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one piece of black card cut to mat
  • Inkadinkado (from the meadow set) and Hero Arts sentiment both stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • 3D glitter paint used to add sombre sparkle (if there is such a thing) and texture

  1. Kraftin' Kimmie - November 8th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  2. The Crazy Challenge - challenge No. 261 - MONOCHROME

You're one busy cardmaking lady Kathy and they are all great cards. I love the way you have done the all over stamping of the hearts on the anniversary card, and the sweet little Christmas tree with the sort of barbed wire sentiment which you have repeated round the envelope, and I like the choice of one with, or one without, and the sypathy card with the pretty silhouette flower is just perfect. x

What a fabulous collection of cards Kathy and I love how much care you take with the insides and the envelopes. I was admiring the sentiment on your sympathy card and was delighted when I saw your picture of the stamps because I recognised that I have it in my stash! I'm sorry I won't be seeing you at the retreat but I hope you have a fabulous time, and thanks for sharing with us at Happy Little Stampers.
