Welcome to a chilly and slightly soggy Wednesday ...

Morning all

Recently, I was asked to make some sympathy cards and now, wouldn't you know it, I've had to send a couple too, so it was time to make some more ... I find it easier to make them when I don't actually need them and here's today's.........

My card

The front, back and inside of the card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:

  • White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Card in black, grey (176gsm) and white and cream (300gsm) - die cut in to nesting panels using MFT stitched rectangle dies
  • Penny Black "Chandelier" image stamped using Versafine onyx black ink - had this for YEARS (at least five, it was released in 2006)
  • For the inside/reverse and envelope, Hero Arts (everyday sentiments) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Retro Rubber - challenge No. 76 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Happy Little Stampers - November challenge - ANYTHING GOES WITH DIES
  3. Loves To Craft Challenge Blog - challenge No. 16 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. A Bit More Time To Craft - challenge No. 56 - ANYTHING GOES

Beautiful sympathy card, Kathy. The colours you've chosen would be perfect to send to a man, as well as a lady. I always find it more difficult to make sympathy cards to send to men. Somehow the flower stamps and dies seem to be more feminine, but this one would be just right. xx

This is a beautiful image and perfect for a sympathy card Kathy. I had to send one recently but I didn't have one to hand and I chickened out as it is difficult to hit the right note, especially if it is a family member, this was a cousin's husband who has been unwell for some time so not totally unexpected. This would have worked well. x
