Welcome to Wednesday

Morning all,

Crikey, November already!! It'll soon be Christmas at this rate - how are you getting along with your Christmas crafting and shopping? I'm doing well on the Christmas crafting but the shopping? Not so well.

Now, having set you up to expect a Christmas card today ... it's a birthday card instead!! I DO love this set by Creative Expressions and I'm trying to use up some snippets again too, so .....

My card
And a closer view of the image panel

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one piece of DCWV Olde World stack, cut to mat
  • Snippets of card in white, black and the DCWV patterned card
  • Using Distress Oxides in antique linen and seedless preserves I smooshed and blended my socks off for a little while, drying between layers - have to say I must be doing something wrong as I'm not quite feeling the love .. YET!
  • Narrow white satin ribbon which I coloured using a couple of copic alcohol markers and set aside to dry
  • Penny Black image (from the Woodland Beauty set) and Fiskars sentiment (All Year Greetings) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stardust stickles just to bling it up a smidge

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-

I've also been on a bit of a stash acquisition kick this week ...

Two fab cards Kathy, and love your snippet make with the greys and blacks and super diagonal stripes and stars, and then the pretty PB foliage and pinky purple tones of seedless preserves oxide which looks great with the soft and subtle antique linen. Lots of wonderful new crafty stash too! x
