Morning and welcome to the start of another week ....

Morning readers,

It's going to be a funny old day today; I'm catching up with a pal this morning at a coffee shop, we'll chat and put the world to right but then, we will be heading off to a funeral. Wish us luck, this is the mum of one of our oldest friends, someone we grew up knowing and will miss tremendously.

I thought about not posting a make today but .......I still had some card fronts from my retreat in November! I eventually decided that I would, but I shan't be entering my make for any challenges.

Thanks for looking peeps

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card, cut to fit
  • Using washi tape I masked off a border on one piece of card and applied Distress Ink in tumbled glass through a stencil (Tim Holtz mini stencil, set #24) with just a little salty ocean at each end of my panel
  • Happy Little Stampers splatter image (from mixed media fun) stamped using Distress Ink in stormy sky
  • Happy Little Stampers sentiment (from Doodled Flowers) stamped using Memento tuxedo black
  • I also applied a light layer of Crafters Companion spray and shine to set the Distress Inks
  • (for the insert, back of card and envelope I stamped the same splatter and sentiment but using Memento Paris dusk ink)

Sorry you have a sad day today Kathy so difficult any time but especially as you have known her all your life. This is a pretty card, I adore that blue background panel with the sentiment over the top. x

Lovely card, Kathy, love the inky panel.

Hope everything went off okay today. Attending funerals, especially for someone you've known for a long time, is never easy. xx
