This week's theme was the sketch below. There are no prizes for the best/most entries only the reward of knowing that entering each week WILL result in at least 50 Christmas cards when the time comes to start writing them! I call THAT a result!
No automatic alt text available.

And then, whilst I had the fabulous Bitty Bear on a block and my pencils sharpened ..... seemed a shame to waste the opportunity to make a matching tag!

I'll be entering this for the TAG challenge over at Incy Wincy

Monday and it's a new week ....

Morning all,

Good weekend peeps? Weather was horrible but ... managed to visit with a pal who had an operation late last week - she looked remarkably well - good luck with your recovery, Dawn.

New week, no plans, doesn't often happen but hey - gives me plenty of scope!

Saturday post - have a great weekend

Morning,

Woo Hoo, it's the weekend and hopefully storm Georgina will have blown through the UK and be off to terrorise some other country or, better still, dissipate. Had a few days this week when it's just been pointless going out for the sake of it! Nothing I want QUITE that much!

I have however, managed to hit the ToC (Table of Craftiness) fairly hard this week and have a couple of makes to share with you today ..... here's the first one, I just can't seem to stop making Christmas cards........

It's Friday and the weekend starts here!!!

OK, so ... not literally HERE - I have no power to get your bosses to send you home and get cracking with your weekend!! I would if I could though!

I had a lovely day out with a pal yesterday, we met at Snazzy's where the lovely Val made us welcome. After we'd finished shopping and chatting there we headed off for lunch and more chat .. it should therefore come as no surprise to hear that there wasn't a lot of crafting yesterday! In fact, this was it - but the gnomes are just so cute!

My tag
And on the reverse
Materials used:
  • Fancy die cut tag
  • Gnome image (from the Creative Expressions set "Scandi Christmas") stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • High Hopes birthday sentiment and Fiskars "to" and "from" stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour, blending with sansodor and a paper stump

Woo Hoo - it's RUDOLPH DAY! .. and also a Thursday

Morning readers,

Hope your week is coming along well and that you aren't too spooked by a Thursday post from me! It happens to be RUDOLPH DAY today which is the reason for my post - what IS Rudolph Day? Well, for us cardmakers it's a monthly reason to make a Christmas card ... thus avoiding the mad scramble to get those last few made .. in November! I TRY to enter each month at least one Christmas card and sometimes (OK, OFTEN!!) more than one. I haven't really stopped making Christmas cards even after reaching my 2017 quota .... in fact, I'm nearly half way to being done with my 2018 quota!!! Nooooo, how did that even happen? Well, this adorable little chap landed on my doormat recently and was just another excuse to make a Christmas project - who could resist a face like this?

  5. The Merry Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 4 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES

A private blog I belong to also runs a themed Rudolph Day challenge (no prizes and only members may enter) and the new theme is to pick any past theme. Back in January of 2016 the theme was CHRISTMAS CAROLS or SONGS ..... so my entry will be for this and my song? Easy .. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer - had to be!

And now on to another fun card, this time a get well card, for a pal who's recently had cataract surgery. I can share this because I know it has been received.

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 300gsm card and matching sized envelope

  • For the insert I used the "feel better soon" sentiment, by A Muse, also stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink

  • Stardust sickles to give it texture and twinkle!

Having been stuck indoors for the last couple of days (with the vile weather) I'm heading out this morning .. to meet a pal for a catch up, some craft shopping and some lunch - leaving poor hubby both at home AND self catering! He'll survive though .. and probably enjoy the peace and quiet too! I hope all those of you who were at the Newbury Papercraft show last weekend left Val with something to sell!
