Another week? So soon?

Morning all,

Hardly seems like yesterday it was Monday and now it's Monday again ... are we SURE there were six days in between? Either way, good weekend? Hope so.

Anyway, new year new start and all that ... thought it was time I updated the look of my blog. The background's a bit different to the old one and I'm canvassing opinion .. LOVE IT? LOATHE IT? or perhaps just ... MEH!?!??! Love to hear your thoughts

Time to share some crafting .. I LOVE Clean And Simple cards but I also LOVE to layer background stamps (they also make pretty good GUY cards IMHO .... using the right colours!) this one fits both bills ... JUST ABOUT!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit (at 13cm x 9½cm)
  • One piece of pearlised grey card cut to mat (at 13½cm x 10cm)
  • Selection of background images from Creative Expressions sets (CEC828, 851 and Arty Backgrounds) plus Imagination Crafts Distress Set #1 stamped using Memento Paris Dusk, London fog, grey flannel and Versafine satin red inks
  • Funstamps (wood mounted but removed from block) sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink on to snippet of white card and cut "banner style" to fit, edging the banner with the satin red ink

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Allsorts Challenge - challenge No. 450 - NO PATTERNED PAPERS
  2. Kraftin' Kimmie - January 13th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  3. QKR Stampede - challenge No. 278 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Emerald City - challenge No. 7 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Addicted to Stamps - challenge No. 274 - CAS (Clean And Simple)

And now for a Christmas card .... I know!! I swear I'm addicted, you would think I could take January off wouldn't you but no ... I am powerless. Actually that's not true but ... you know what it's like, you get new stash and you can't wait to play with it!
