It's Hump Day Wednesday - how's it going?

Morning all,

Hope your week is coming along OK but, if it's not then - don't panic, it will soon be the weekend! Had a nice long chat with a poorly pal yesterday, nice to catch up - we're planning a meet which will be even better.

The weather  has been pretty pants and I've had a few days that are best not spoken of except to say ... they were stay in and craft days! It's been a while

My card
A closer view of the ombre

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • 12½cm square white, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 11½cm square
  • One piece of DCWV linen textured card, in deep red, cut to 12cm square
  • Using washi tape I masked off my shape and then, using a couple of mini blending tools (with foam pads) I applied Distress Inks .... worn lipstick over the entire panel, candied apple over the bottom two thirds and then fired brick over the bottom third and finally blending worn lipstick over the joins
  • Sunday International image (G-PSH016) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink and then the image panel sprayed with Crafters Companion spray and shine - to protect the water based inks
  • With the washi tape removed, Stampers Anonymous sentiment (CMS155 Simple Sayings) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Addicted to CAS - challenge No. 128 - OMBRE
  2. Dragonfly Journeys - challenge No. 110 - THE POWER OF RED
  3. The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - challenge No. 101 - "T" is for TECHNIQUE ... I went with the "Ombre" technique using distress inks (see above for details)
  4. Brown Sugar - challenge No. 274 - BIRTHDAY
  5. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 1803 - ANYTHING GOES

This is gorgeous Kathy and I adore your bright ombre background, prettily slanted too, and the beautiful silhouette flowers over it, perfect! x

Happy Hump Day Kathy! Here with my Snarky Sisters hat on today to say how much I love your beautiful card. The finishing touches of the stamping on the inside and the envelope make it an extra special card.
