Morning all,
Another wet and wild night last night, with the blinds rattling .. sure, I COULD have closed the window but then I'd have been hot - it's all about compromise!
What WASN'T about compromise last night was the splendid curry hubby and I enjoyed with a pal - it's been too long - YUMMMM!

I recently mentioned how much I LOVE to layer up stamps ... well, I sat at my ToC (Table of Craftiness) recently and ran up a contemporary card and then wondered, whilst I had all the stamps and inks out, whether I could make a contemporary baby card - jury's still out on whether it worked but I am hoping so - check out both makes below
My Birthday card, which I love |
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
- 12½cm square white, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
- Two pieces of white card cut to 11½cm square
- One piece of black card cut to 12¼cm square
- Kaisercraft mini grid image stamped using Memento London fog ink
- Kaisercraft rocks image stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink
- Creative Expressions chevrons (from CEC851 Inspired Edges) and Happy Little Stampers sentiment (Mixed Media Fun) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
- Creative Expressions splatter (from the same set) stamped using Memento grey flannel and Adirondack red pepper inks
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:
- Try It On Tuesday - January 9th challenge - MY FAVOURITE THINGS .. and I DO love to layer stamps, ask anyone!
- Dragonfly Journeys - challenge No. 109 - HOORAY FOR BIRTHDAYS
- Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 1802 - ANYTHING GOES
- Stamps and Fun - challenge No. 315 - USE STAMPS
- Artistic Inspirations - challenge No. 192 - ANYTHING GOES
And, here's the card I made deploying the same stamps - well, whilst they were on the blocks, why not?!??! To mix it up a little I used a C6/A2 card blank, matted with grey instead of black and added the extra red splat along with the BABY sentiment. Contemporary? YES, Baby card? Not quite so sure but this was a slightly unusual card occasion
My BABY card using the same images .. not QUITE so convinced but ....
|
And now, it will probably not come as a surprise to hear that I am STILL making Christmas cards!! I can't seem to stop and my previous reason (that I had new Christmas stash) can't be the reason as the stamps I used are actually pretty old - so old, in fact, that I have even lost the packaging!

You’ve been bust Kathy. Love the bir5hday card and the sparkly Christmas card. Not sure about the baby card though!

Three wonderful cards Kathy and love the way you have used the stamps for the pretty contemporary birday and the baby card, which I think works OK. I also love your pretty and sparkly tree, and love the font of the sentiment also with that touch of sparkle, and the red frame looks great. Congratulations also on being Top Addict over at ATS&M with that fun Christmas camel. x
