Monday, fun day .. playing with new stash!

Morning all,

Good weekend? A bit parky wasn't it? Mind you, from a personal point of view I was NOT sorry to see an end to the tremendously windy weather. We lost a fence panel and count ourselves lucky that was all.

Don't you love playing with new stash? I ordered some stamps in the New Year sales and they arrived on Friday and I couldn't wait to play with them ..

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two white card panels cut to fit
  • One red card panel cut to mat
  • Hobby Art Stamps image and background borders (from CS106-D Christmas Friends) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink (I stamped Santa on to a post it and used it as a mask when stamping the background skyline)
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour the image
  • Stardust stickles to bling up the fur, beard and snowline
  • Penny Black sentiment (from 30-086 Let is snow) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Colour Crazy - challenge No. 1 - ANYTHING (HAND COLOURED) GOES
  2. Jingle Belles - January 1st challenge - LOOK WHAT SANTA BROUGHT ME - well, it IS a Santa and it IS new stash bought over the Christmas break so I hope it counts!
  3. Allsorts - challenge No. 449 - SOMETHING NEW - in my case the Santa stamp set
  4. Fussy and Fancy Friday - challenge No. 202 - CHRISTMAS
And then it was on to another entry for a PURPLE challenge .. being my favourite colour I can never resist a purple challenge .. AND I used SNIPPETS - always good in my book!

oh for sure! that totally counts! i think it was nice of you to "help" santa by treating yourself to some things he'd obviously have brought you if he wasn't so busy! :) :) :) and the fact that you've already used said goodies so cleverly is proof of what a good idea it was, lol! so pleased you could join our JINGLE BELLES fun! ♥

Love both cards Kathy! Super Santa stamp you used on the first one! No spending for me here for a while though. And, what a lovely reminder with your snippets card that we probably all have neglected punches hidden away. It's a prompt for me to get punching!

Hugs

Di xx
