Middle of the week, must be time for my blog post!!! Har Har!

Morning all,

Hope your week is coming along well. Mine's doing great .... met up with a pal of mine on Monday evening, we tried a new (to use) Indian restaurant - it was a fab chance to catch up and with great grub too - I call that a result!

Still hitting the ToC (that's Table of Craftiness) as often as possible and broke out some pretty old images for this card - in fact the two sentiments I used on the inside literally FELL OFF their wood mounts hence them being in a baggy in the photo!

My card
And a closer view of the lovely "MAX"

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • 12cm square white, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 10cm square
  • One piece of deep green card cut to 11cm square
  • Snippets of card in white, green and dark brown, for my image and matting
  • Circle patterned grosgrain ribbon, from Michaels
  • Sparkle 'n Sprinkle "Max" image (0967-247B) and sentiment (stamp set 417 - Cocktails II) along with Inkahootz sentiments ("Wishing you a hoppy" and "Birthday") stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image, blending with Sansodor and a paper stump
  • Stardust stickles to add a modest twinkle
  • Anita's dimensional gloss for the cocktail glass

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Seize The Birthday - February 1st challenge - ANYTHING GOES with OPTIONAL twist (not used) of CANDLES
  2. Take a Word Challenge - February 4th - the word is TIME
  3. Incy Wincy - February 5th-19th challenge - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  4. Crafty Sentiments Designs - February 6th challenge - ANYTHING GOES

I discovered that I was in the TOP five over at The Holly and The Ivy for their challenge No. 22, thank you so much peeps for the card below

Nipped in to Aldi yesterday as I had heard that their Arts and Crafts offer included some Clarity-like brushes at a jolly fine price. Now, I'm not expecting them to be such good quality as Clarity but, at £2.99 per pack of three small brushes I am calling it a veritable BARGAIN ..... IMHO! Anyone else bought any? Used them yet? Your thoughts?

What a sweet and fun image Kathy and love the beautifully coloured little frog with his drink...in the drink actually..lol and love the way you have glossed up the cocktail glass, a great sentiment too. Glad you had a nice evening with your friend, and congrats on your Top 5 plae with that pretty Christmas card. Those brushes you got from Aldi do look fantastic for the money, and am looking forward to hearing how well you can blend ink with them. x

Well, Max is just adorable and I love the card you made with him. I resisted a trip to ALDI when I heard about the brushes, so will be interested to see if I should regret my decision!
