Morning and welcome to another fun filled week!

Morning all,

Least I HOPE it will prove to be fun filled!

I recently set up a swap on a forum I belong to, we didn't have that many sign up but the theme was "FLOWERS" and I set to making my batch of ATC's ..... I'm sharing them today as the batches were returned to the swapees and they should all have received them by now. Originally we had five sign ups but I started making my ATC's before sign up closed so I made two extra (because, obviously, I didn't need to make myself one!) .....

My batch of ATC's .. the same but different!
One of one design
And one of the other design
Materials used:
  • 6 ATC blanks
  • 6 snippets of white card plus snippets in lime, pink, blue and purple
  • My main design was stamped on to the white snippets using Paper Artsy JOFY sets JM13 and JM22 and Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image
  • Anita's dimensional gloss applied to give texture and sheen and stardust stickles to add a bit of bling!
  • On the coloured matting layers I stamped the chevron image from Creative Expressions CEC851 around the outer edge, using Memento inks in: Paris dusk, bamboo leaves, rhubarb and tuxedo black

I'll be entering them for the following challenges:-
  1. Pixie's Crafty Workshop - challenge No. 320 - USE SNIPPETS (LOTS of them used on this project!)
  2. Gem of a Challenge - challenge No. 213 - SPRING FLOWERS
  3. Challenge Up Your Life - challenge No. 85 - SPRING FLOWERS
  4. StarStampz - February 15th challenge - MAKE IT GIRLY
  5. Jo's Scrap Shack - challenge No. 221 - ANYTHING GOES
Next ..... yes, you all knew it wouldn't be too long before another Christmas card appeared on this blog .. I don't want a repeat of the year I was making them right up until Christmas week! I decided to use some patterned paper, something I seldom think to do these days but ... I LIKE it! I also thought I'd watermark my pix with my blog address .... now I'm wishing I'd gone with a shorter address!

My card
And a close up of the image
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of navy card cut to 13.4cm x 9.6cm
  • One piece of white card and one piece of Christmas paper (from DCWV winter stack) cut to 12.9cm x 9.1cm
  • Two faux stitched nesting circles cut from snippets of white and navy card
  • Penny Black (12 Days of Christmas) image and sentiment along with Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment (Sketchy Christmas) stamped using Memento tuxedo black
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour, blended using Sansodor and a paper stump
  • Additionally I used a red sharpie (for the hat) and a Tsukineko gelly roll glitter pen in dark blue
  • Wink of Stella clear gel glitter brush pen used to bling it up a smidge
  • Double sided tape used to attach white grosgrain ribbon centrally top to bottom
  • Dimensional foam tape to attach my image panel over the grosgrain ribbon

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:-
  1. Happy Little Stampers - February dies challenge - ANYTHING GOES with DIES
  2. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 373 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
  3. Happy Little Stampers - February Christmas Challenge - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES with (not used) OPTION OF HEARTS
  4. Jingle Belles - February 9th challenge - A COLOURING WE WILL GO
  5. Chrimbo Crackers - challenge No. 152 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES

And, for those of you following the progress of my crochet blanket .... I finished it on Thursday of last week, one week after I started it. I got on pretty well but was definitely flagging towards the end. Sadly, I ran out of wool which kind of limited its size ... I have two tiny amounts of both colours left but not enough for another row - so, I'm calling it done, it's approximately 6'2" square which kind of suits us.

Materials used:
  • 4 x 400g aran wool (from Aldi whilst it was on special at £3.99 per ball) in burgundy and cream
  • Size 6.0mm crochet hook
  • Stitches used were chain stitch, trebles and a row of double crochet around the outer edge, to form a border
So now we're toastie at the Purple Palace!

I love the two designs on the ATC's Kathy and such pretty colours, also love those chevrons stamped in the background. How fast a crocheter are you! I can't believe this only took a week to do, and the wool from Aldi was a great price. A really super blanket. x

Your turtle-dove is hilarious and super cute. I also tend to forget I can use patterned papers on CAS cards but your blue background works just perfect with your image. Thanks so much for playing along with my prompt at Jingle Belles. Hope you will come and play again to avoid the mayhem of Christmas card making in November-December (been there, done that).
