Oh look another week!!!

Morning peeps

I'd like to welcome my new follower, Janis, hope you'll stop by again sometime

Hubby's birthday recently so we celebrated at the weekend, surrogate family round to ours for dinner on Saturday - Thai food. An excellent evening for both the company and food.Late finish for us which meant a sluggish start to Sunday but hey ... isn't that what weekends are all about? When I say SLUGGISH start ... not for the dishwasher!! That was working overtime!

Carried on working on with my blanket and here's how it was looking last evening ...

My blanket now measures 54" - YAY! Of course, as it's getting bigger it's
taking longer (and longer) to complete each row so progress is looking slower
And, of course, I managed some paper crafting too, something I've not been doing much of that lately - because of wanting to crack on and finish that blanket before the warmer weather renders it redundant till next winter!! I WISH!

My card - this cat is just SO CUTE
And a closer view of the colouring and sparkle

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • 12cm square white, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 10cm square
  • Two pieces of Kraft card cut to 11cm square
  • One piece of dark chocolate card cut to 11½cm square
  • Katzelkraft grumpy cat image (from KTZ152) and Hero Arts sentiment (from CL1342) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour and blended using Sansodor and a paper stump. Colours used: Capu Mortuum violet, Burnt Carmine, Naples Yellow, Terracotta and Cadmium Orange
  • Wink of stella clear glitter gel brush pen to add some twinkle to the eyes, stripes and whiskers

You'll need that blanket in this cold snap and it's looking great.

Fabulous card card too.

What a fun sentiment when paired with the cute kitty. Your blanket is pretty, and the longer the perimeter, the warmer you are while working... What a winning combination.
Thanks so much for sharing your card at Jo's Scrap Shack.

Your card is just adorable and I love the sentiment! Still jealous of your crochet ability and blanket progress. The way the weather is going you're going to get a lot of use from it x
