Welcome to my midweek post

Morning all,

Hope your week is coming along well.

After a hyperactive weekend at the ToC I've been avoiding it for a day or so - as I didn't want to wear it out!!! Today, I originally had just one ATC to share with you but recently found out that I don't make non specific occasion cards .... for emergencies like I had on Monday when I found out a friend had a fire at her home. Whilst I wanted to show support a "Get Well", "Good Luck", "Happy Birthday" or the like didn't quite cut it, you know what I found? JUST ONE non occasion specific make, fortunately in fairly uplifting colours so, off it went in the post and, memo to self .... make some more!

I hope this will brighten your day though you may well feel the need to break out the sunglasses!

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in both white and turquoise
  • Recollections image and sentiment (sorry but I appear to have lost the details of the name of the set) stamped on to white card snippet using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Kaisercraft mini grid image stamped on to the turquoise layer using Memento Bahama blue ink
  • Copic markers and Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour the image and background
  • Paper Artsy (from HTPX01) splatter image stamped using Ranger Archival monarch orange ink
  • Tsukineko gelly roll glitter gel pen (gold) for the crown and to add twinkle to the flower petals on her dress too

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Crafting From The Heart - challenge No. 195 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 1807 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Creates and Makes - challenge No. 18 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Ike's World - challenge No. 105 - ANYTHING GOES/HIDDEN DESIRES .. who doesn't want to live as a princess in a fairy tale?
And on to a non occasion specific card, using just a generally uplifting sentiment

Two lovely makes here Kathy. Gosh, your poor friend. Hope she's okay.

How awful for your friend Kathy and hope the fire did minimal damage, and she was bound to be cheered by your bright and beautiful ATC and a great idea to have a few cards with just generic sentiments, and the second is just perfect for any occasion. x

A pretty ATC Kathy, such a pretty princess and lovely bright colours.
Your second card is perfect for all eventualities, a fabulous sentiment.

Love your sweet ATC. It's guaranteed that whatever card you need at a specific moment will be the only type of card you haven't got! The sentiment on your card is lovely and I love the panel of stamping x

The princess reminds me of a book about a princess written for children but I just cannot think what it is called, it's gorgeous either way.
