Welcome to Wednesday

Morning peeps,

We made it to mid week so it's downhill all the way to the weekend!

Here's a funny thing .. on Monday I welcomed a new follower and yesterday I noticed I'd lost one and wondered why .... do you all trawl through an cull a few blogs now and then? Do you stop following for a particular reason? I know I go through mine every now and again and stop following those who haven't posted in a while (and I don't just mean a week or so, more like three months) ... but, since I post around four times a week, I know that can't be the reason! Do I post TOO MUCH? Frankly, I confess .... I'm curious . . . .

Hubby had a recent birthday and, boy, is he milking it? He's worth it! We were out to dinner with friends yesterday, celebrating the birthday boy .... this time, to a lively Caribbean restaurant in the centre of town, nothing for it (since the cocktails were 2for1) but to take the bus! Great evening catching up with friends and fab spicy food too. I'll just say one more thing and leave it at that .. SHAME about the weather!

Anyhoo, I managed to steal a little time at the ToC (that's Table of Craftiness) ....

My card
And a closer view of my colouring

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of black card cut to mat
  • Rubbuadubbadoo possum with flowers image (very old, date on the stamp says 2001!) And TCP sentiment (S-5845-CL) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour, blending using a paper stump and sansodor. I  used the following colours:- Dark Flesh, Cold greys II, II & IV, Paynes Grey, Indian Red, Naples Yellow, Light Yellow Ochre, Terracotta, Light Green, Leaf Green and Green Olive
  • Wink of Stella clear glitter gel brush pen used to add a little sparkle

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Dragonfly Dreams - February 4th challenge - FLOWERS
  2. Allsorts - challenge No. 454 - LOVE IS IN THE AIR
  3. Use Your Stuff - challenge No. 299 - LOVE IS ALL AROUND
  4. Incy Wincy Designs - February 5th challenge - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  5. Cards in Envy - February 5th challenge - LOVE YOU SO MUCH - hoping an anniversary card works as I don't really "do" Valentines cards!
For those of you wondering about my blanket ... it's coming along, currently measuring 64" square - YAY! Of course, as it grows it takes longer to get round each row so I'm not going to post more pix now till it's finished.

Happy Valentines Day to you and your loved ones

I don't think you post too much Kathy, we all have busy lives and fit it in as and when we can. I don't have set times for posting and my mojo is a bit up and down at the moment but I put it down to the weather, the gloomy wet days are not good for creativity as far as I'm concerned anyway. I love this cute mouse you have for us today, and he is holding daffodils too which is perfect for this time of year... so cute! I'm glad you had a good evening celebrating hubby's birthday, the food sounded good, and cocktails too, good job you got the bus...lol. x

Super card and envelope Kathy, cute image and love all the white space, brilliant colouring.
Thank you for joining our 'Love is in the Air' challenge this week at Allsorts.
Maybe it is someone who has stopped blogging and has gone round and un-followed everyone.

Hi Kathy . . . fun possum anniversary card . . . you don't see many of those critters on cards in the UK, so it's bound to be special. Great colouring BTW.

As to following/unfollowing . . . reasons for change are numerous but sometimes it's because a particular card catches my eye so I follow the creator's blog for a while, then if it turns out to be a "one off" I stop following. Sometimes it's because the cards get samey and I've had enough. Sometimes it's because nothing has been posted for a long time so I stop following.

There are only 10 blogs on my reading list that I would never stop following and commenting on. Others come and go from the list for any of the above reasons.

I have not unfollowed anybody so far so I don't really know the answer why one would unfollow someone...Thank you for sharing your creation with us @ Incy Wincy Designs Clean & Simple Challenge.-Maria Giselle B.
