The weekend starts - TODAY!

Morning all,

I'm still LOVING my new Aldi blending brushes and memento inks and have another make to share with you today. I've had this mini dogs/cats set for a while and (if I remember correctly) I haven't actually gotten round to inking this little chap before but ... isn't he adorable? Whilst initially I had thought of him for ATC's only (based on the fact he's so little) but, used like this, I think he rocks the space, don't you?

My card
And a closer view of my stencilled and coloured panel

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of purple card, cut to mat
  • My C6 mask (aperture die cut myself) taped over one piece of the white card before stamping my Stampers Anonymous image using Memento black ink.
  • I stamped the same image on to a full coverage post it before cutting out and placing over my stamped image.
  • I then applied the purple ink, using my Aldi blending brushes. Next, I placed my TCW stencil , taping down and applying the same ink in the same manner and then the That's Crafty brick stencil
  • With my image panel complete I removed my rectangle and post it masks and coloured my image using Faber Castell polychromos pencils, blending with Sansodor and paper stumps
  • Impression Obsession sentiment stamped using Versafine black ink
  • Stardust stickles used to trace the larger font of the sentiment
Stamps: Stampers Anonymous CMS272 "mini cats and dogs", Impressions Obsession MC657
Stencils: TCW357S and That's Crafty TC064
Inks: Ranger Archival majestic violet, Memento tuxedo black and Versafine onyx black
I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:
  1. Fashionable Stamping - challenge No. 134 - ANIMALS
  2. Scrapbookstampsociety - challenge No. 138 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. StampsandFun - challenge No. 321 - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  4. Crazy For CAS - challenge No. 5 - USE A STENCIL

And now for a masculine card .... I was recently watching a TV show which mentioned a Chevelle car, I said to my husband "I have one of those" ... he looked at me kind of quizzically - so, nothing for it but to rummage in my stamp drawers and pull out said image "OH" was all he said after that but ... it suddenly made me want to make something using this image. Now, I'm also presently enjoying A2 card sizes and it was a smidge too large in reality but ... I'm no quitter!

Of course the little dog is super-cute, but I have to say that car stamp is awesome! I'm not necessarily a Chevelle fan-- it's just a really neat stamp! Great cards, both of 'em!!

What a cute little dog Kathy and wonderful background stencilling and the combination of a stamped and die cut sentiment is great. I love your beautifully coloured blue limo too and it looks fabulous even with the little bit of the boot out of the picture, and love the chevrons underneath. x
