Friday .. and the weekend begins about .... NOW!

Morning readers,

This post is a little photo heavy so please bear with me!

Apparently, I am currently obsessed with Artist Trading Coins - I hadn't realised it until I looked at the previous few posts which, mostly, seem to feature them ... and this one is no exception!!! I saw something recently and it sparked an idea ... I used it as a starting point but, thank you to whoever it was!

My Artist Trading Coin
And a closer view of the colouring and glitter
Materials used:
  • Snippets of card in black, white and Costco double sided card
  • Moth Fab stamped on to the white card, coloured with the Inktense blocks and then fussy cut out
  • Paper Artsy image stamped on to the Costco card using Versarmark ink, sprinkled with white embossing powder and then heat set
  • Inktense blocks used to water colour the hearts
  • Using my Xyron sticker maker I adhered Moth Fab to my Costco card panel
  • Nesting dies to cut the 2½" circle from the black card and the next size down to cut the Costco/hearts  circle
  • White paint pen used to doodle a border
  • Glitter gel pens used to add interest to the lips, hair and skirt of Moth Fab
Paper Artsy ETS04, Stampotique "Moth Fab", Memento tuxedo black ink (not shown)
Versamark ink and white embossing powder
Posca paint pens in black and white, Kaisercraft glitter gel pens
(not shown) Inktense blocks and a Caran d'Ache water brush
I am loving it and hope you do too ... not sure whether I'll be wanting to trade it or just keep it! - but I will be entering it for the following challenges:-
  1. Crafting From The Heart - challenge No. 213 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Stampotique - challenge No. 302 - ARTIST TRADING COINS
  3. WaterCooler Wednesday - challenge No. 177 - FEMININE ANYTHING GOES
  4. Crafting By Designs - July challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Penny's Paper Crafty - challenge No. 387 - ANYTHING GOES
I got to catch up with a friend earlier this week, she normally lives in Germany but was visiting friends in Cirencester - too close NOT to catch up, so very glad she was able to make the time to meet for a natter and lunch. Katie even played tour guide before we went off to lunch, showing me around her home town.

Remains of the Roman wall in Cirencester
Such a pretty lake - I had no idea it was there
And a lovely view across the filed to the Church
Katie and her pal "HARE-y"!!!
The Boleyn cup in the church
Beautiful stained glass in St John the Baptist Church home of the Boleyn Cup
We lunched at the Falcon Inn at Poulton where Dave made us VERY welcome.
Whilst my lunch was VERY green it was also DELICIOUS
I'm not enlarging this as it's a little fuzzy but this too was absolutely delicious!
What a day!

Well, MothFab is a little scary, but I totally admire how you created the coin!

Your day out in Cirencester looks great and I fancy that dish for lunch!

Have a super Friday. Already mega hot down here and I have to go to get my hair chopped!

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Wow Kathy, what a fun Artist Trading Coin you've created. All in your signature purple, of course. Love the layering of images and that sassy girl you've featured. Also love the glimpse into the English countryside as you share your lunch and surroundings. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
