Monday and 2020's getting closer

Morning readers,

It's Monday again and it's also the last one in 2019, we're rolling towards the new year and I wonder what's lying in wait for us all in the year of 2020 ... that and how long it will take me to get used to writing 2020 instead of 2019!!! At least I don't write many cheques these days!

Got plans for New Years Eve? We normally stay home and are often tucked up in bed well in advance of midnight though, spookily enough, we often wake just in time to hear the New Year in - all those fireworks, I suppose  - before wishing each other a Happy New Year and going back to sleep. I've no reason to suppose that this New Years Eve will be any different - we're such lightweights!

I've a make to share with you today .... a fun Artist Trading Card using a beverage themed set of clear stamps from My Favourite Things.

MONDAY and only two more sleeps!

Morning readers,

Hope you had a great weekend, we had the last of our pre Christmas meals with friends, a yumscrumptious meal, a great catch up with distant pals and a present exchange - perfick.

I've a make to share with you today .... and, so close to Christmas - what else would it be but a Christmas card! Too late for this year, for sure but .... 2020 is looking good! It's a little more quirky than the traditional Christmas card but I am LOVING it!, especially the slightly manic look in the character's eyes - I feel a little like this myself some days around this time of year, don't you? So much to do and so little time in which to achieve it - it's almost like the fact that Christmas being on December 25th comes as a surprise as you suddenly realise - ONLY TWO MORE SLEEPS!

  • Once my ink was dry I used Pro Markers to colour my image which I then fussy cut and edged any little white bits using a black sharpie
  • I coloured a snippet strip of white using the same Distress Inks before stamping my MFT sentiment using (SY01 Sweet Holiday Penguins) Versafine Clair nocturne ink - I then cut it to fit in to a banner shape

Busy weekend, what with meeting up with friends for a Christmas dinner on Saturday and surrogate granddog sitting on Sunday, we had a lovely time though I did fear for the tree .. just a little!

Dinner at the Crown Inn
Potential tree carnage, no Santa's were harmed - honest!
Who me? No, I was here - all the time!
Let's walk off some of that energy!

I should like to take this opportunity to wish all of my friends, followers and readers
a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and
a HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2020
