Monday - Whoopee, another week!

Morning readers,

Hope you all had a triffik weekend, but, what about the weather?!?!?! We went to friends on Friday evening, for dinner, took the car because of the rain. Parked outside and went in, when it came to leave it wasn't raining as we stepped out of their front door but ..... by the time we made it the short distance to the car I was drenched - had to dry my hair before I could get in to bed!!! WTFrack! The local Balloon Fiesta had to cancel most of their launches too, so disappointing for the organisers, vendors, entrants and attendees. I hear Cowes week didn't start off much better either - truly weird weather as it was still so very sticky at the same time!

I am LOVING the new stash I acquired recently and couldn't resist using the set again, before consigning it to the drawer for an unspecified length of time! I'm really liking this colour combo and thanks to Val at Snazzys for reminding me to use the Distress Ink old paper again, it's one I keep forgetting about!

My Artist Trading Card
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in black and white
  • On the white snippet I applied Distress Ink in old paper over the entire panel and then again through the Dutchdoobadoo stencil (470.715.129) using a mini blending tool. I then blended bundled sage around the very outer edged
  • Stamps used: Studio Light SL363 and Creative Expressions CEC851 "Inspiring Edges"
  • Inks used: Distress Inks in old paper and bundled sage, Memento Inks in London fog, grey flannel and bamboo leaves and Versafine Clair morning mist

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

And now .. on to a rather BRIGHT card ......

These cooler colours on your ATC are great Kathy and l love the new stash you have used, and then the complete opposite with the bright orange for your card and a wonderful tree and sentiment too. Glad you enjoyed a trip to Snazzys and Val is such a lovely lady and we had a good chinwag when I went. Unfortunately it is a 180 mile round trip for us so won't be able to make it a regular thing. It is such a shame that the weather was so off at the weekend and spoiled the balloon festival, especially after all the good weather we have disappointing for everyone. x
