It's Saturday and also the FIRST Rudolph Day challenge of 2020!!!

Morning readers

I've a make to share with you today .... it's Rudolph Day so it will come as no surprise to see a Christmas card - in reality, I made a batch of three, getting a jump on my 2020 quota! AND I got to use an old wood mounted stamp and some NBUS (that's Never Before Used Schtuff and I must thank Darnell for coining the acronym)

One of my batch of three cards
The front, back and inside of my card along with the back of my envelope
The stamp used was too big to even partially stamp on the front of the envelope
Materials used (three each, of the following):
  • White 5" square, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of navy card, cut to mat
  • Snippets of card in both white and navy, for my focal sentiment
  • Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment (from "Holiday Wishes") and Stamp Cabana "hand stamped by" image stamped using Versafine Clair twilight ink
  • Penny Black (3017-F "Joy Joy", recently re-discovered and I fell in love with using it to make my own background paper) stamped using Memento London fog ink
  • Stardust stickles - applied to the hearts, to add the sparkle!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Scraps of Life - January Rudolph Day challenge - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  2. The Holly and Ivy - challenge No. 63 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  3. Handstamped Sentiments - challenge No. 331 - INSPIRATION PHOTO - see below
  4. Ike's World - challenge No. 128 - "M" is for MALE ... whilst I think this card WOULD be suitable for male or female it IS aimed at the male populace - hence entering it!
  5. Sparkles Monthly Challenges - challenge No. 124 - WINTER BLUES

And now for an anniversary card - I have plenty of Birthday and Christmas cards but not too many anniversary cards so ...... It's kind of CAS and yet kind of not - made a nice change for me as well as using the 6" square format. I really like it's classic yet simple look - I might make more of these, the sentiment sets are new and just the perfect size for this card - IMHO

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White 6" square, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 5" square
  • One piece of purple card cut to 5½" square, for matting
  • Using Picture This words from both "Love and Pride" and "Happy Days" I stamped around the outer edge using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
  • StudioLight heart image (from SL363) stamped using Versafine Clair purple delight ink - makes such a nice change not to use a black ink on my project
  • Stardust stickles to bling up the heart image

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Always Fun - challenge No. 146 - YOUR FAVOURITE STAMP SET - both sets are fairly new (the sentiment was JUST before Christmas) but I LOVE them both
  2. Sisterhood of Crafters - January 22nd challenge - NEW STASH - see entry 1
  3. The House That Stamps Built - challenge No. 220 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 243 - ANYTHING GOES + A SENTIMENT

This is a great size sentiment for a CAS Happy Anniversary card. Having several of these in your stash to send would be so handy. Thanks for sharing it with the Sisterhood of Crafters "newly acquired stash" challenge this week!

Two great cards. I love how you decorated the Christmas card and the envelope, I really need to do that as when it comes to sending them I have extra work to do. Making 3 is also a good idea too!
