Monday and January is rockin' .... so far!

Morning readers,

Hope your weekend was good, if not great! Did you get those decorations down yet? We took ours down on the 3rd but the outside lights needed to dry out before boxing so they didn't go back in to the box and loft until the 4th - that's it till this Christmas. Is it too early to put them back up? JOKING!!!!

I've a make to share with you today .... a little Artist Trading Card made using stash my dear hubby bought me for Christmas.

My Artist Trading Card
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in both navy and white
  • On the white snippet I stamped my Paper Artsy image (ZN36) and coloured using Pro Marker and Copic alcohol markers
  • With my mask in place (see project below) I placed my Tim Holtz mini stencil (from set #35) over the top and applied Memento Bahama blue ink using an Aldi stencil brush
  • Chapel Road sentiment (from Vertical Greetings) stamped using Versafine Clair twilight ink
  • Border doodled using a white Signo Uniball gel pen
  • Stardust stickles and Kaisercraft glitter gel pens to add a bit of pizazz

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Allsorts - challenge No. 553 - USE SOFT PASTELS
  2. Crazy4Challenges - challenge No. 416 - SOMETHING NEW - the Paper Artsy image was a Christmas gift
  3. Gem of a Challenge - challenge No. 1 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Love To Craft Challenge Blog - challenge No. 42 - ANYTHING GOES

And, whilst I had the Paper Artsy image on a block .... the frame is another part of hubby's Christmas gift.

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of purple card, cut to mat
  • Full coverage post it - for making a mask
  • Paper Artsy image (from ZN36) stamped using Memento tuxedo black, also stamped on to the post it before fussy cutting to use as my mask
  • With my mask in place I stamped the Paper Artsy frame (from EKD04) using Versafine Clair purple delight ink
  • Pro Marker and Copic alcohol markers used to colour image and frame
  • TCP sentiment (from S.5845-CL) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Stardust stickles to "bling up" the card

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Catch The Bug - January challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Sweet Stampin' - January 4th challenge - USE SOMETHING NEW (the Paper Artsy images were Christmas gifts)

  4. Brown Sugar - challenge No. 297 - ANYTHING GOES

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on the well-deserved recognition you've received for your wonderful creations.

LOVE that cute little Top Hatted character and you've made good use of him on both the ATC and the card. GREAT backgrounds on both.

Happy Monday!

A great stamp for your super ATC and card. Your hubby has good taste in choosing Christmas presents for you..... or did you point him in the right direction? ;-) Congratulations on your recognition over in the Happy Little Stampers Challenges. xx
