Wednesday, that can only mean one thing - it's downhill to the weekend

Morning readers,

Crikey I'm fed up of these chilly mornings, you look out of the window and everything's covered in frost - you wrap up and venture out and it's super slippery - no real incentive to keep moving. This weather all you want to do is stay in and keep warm (aka CRAFT!!!).

I've a make to share with you today .... whilst I had those adorable duckies out on my ToC (Table of Craftiness) I thought I might as well make the most of them!

My Artist Trading COIN
Materials used:
  • Snippets of card in deep blue and white
  • On the white snippet I stamped the Aall & Create image and sentiment using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Crayola pencils and Kaisercraft glitter gel pens used to colour the image and sentiment
  • White Signo Uniball gel pen used to doodle the border

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Use Your Stuff - challenge No. 390 - FRIENDSHIP
  2. Crafty Cardmakers - challenge No. 249 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 2003 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Incy Wincy - January 20th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Through The Craft Room Door - January 14th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
And a Birthday card .... I really enjoyed using a die cut aperture to make a card recently and thought I would have another go, this time using a banner die .....

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of deep red textured (DCWV) card cut to mat and a large snippet of scrap card - for my aperture mask
  • WRMK banner die, to cut aperture
  • With my banner mask taped in place I applied Memento dandelion ink over the aperture, using a makeup brush.
  • With the mask still in place I added a Tim Holtz mini stencil (from set #24) and applied Memento cantaloupe ink followed by lady bug to outer edges
  • Having removed the mask I stamped my Penny Black foliage image (from "Natures gifts") and my TCP sentiment (S.5845-CL) using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Stardust stickles to "bling up" the foliage

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Unicorn Challenge - challenge No. 50 - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  2. Penny Black - January challenge - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) SOMETHING NEW
  3. Lemon Shortbread - challenge No. 111 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Everybody Art - challenge No. 461 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Arty Divas - challenge No. 13 - ANYTHING GOES

Well, you've certainly been nice and creative here.
Once again, a smashing duck ATC.

Love the use of ink and stencilling through a home-made aperture. Brilliant.

Happy midweek!

Two fabulous designs. Love them both, but the fabulous Quack duck you entered into our challenge is such a fun image and one of my favourite of the more quirky Aall and Create designs.

Thank you so much for sharing in our first challenge of the new decade, and good luck!

I had to smile to see you crafting because it's cold, when here I am crafting inside because it's so hot outside (35 degC yesterday)! Any excuse really. So glad you joined us at Incy Wincy, CarolG

Great cards. A good idea to stay inside and craft when the weather is either too cold or too hot. We are in the peak of summer here and it is sweltering outside. Thank you for joining in the Anything Goes Challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.
