Which is looking like being June and held in Worcester this year, organised by the lovely Cherry. I'll be updating this page as and when details become available ......

Welcome to the 8th annual Craftathon retreat (we started in 2011, though it hardly seems like that long ago). Each year we go someplace else as all the attendees are spread around the UK. Our first was in Accrington then we've also done Bristol, Hereford, Rugeley, Rotherham, Grimsby, Abingdon and, this year, we were in Worcester.

Bit of a change for us this year as we've rented a house so we can craft for as long as we like ... in previous years we've hired a hall and stayed in a nearby hotel. I've been looking forward to this new format too.

I prepared a shoebox project ...

Mark I - an ATC
Mark II - a card
Mark III - also a card
So, snacks and craft stuff ready to roll ...

And now for some pix of the fun we had and the projects we completed ....

Selfie of first Craftathoniers to arrive, L-R: Cherry, me, Debbie
Debbie and Cherry - action shot!
Debbie and Clare, hard at work
We were SO blimming lucky with the weather too
The weather was SO GOOD we didn't have to "ventilate" our workspace!!!
My "fairy door" in progress .....
My journal page for our word prompt challenge .. "SHINE"
The "SHINE" journal pages from me, Debbie and Cherry
A proper play with Cherry's gelli plate!
Crafting with bubbly - this IS the life!
My experiment with alcohol inks
A partially finished journal page using tone on tone Memento inks
I plan to add a small photo in the circle and a group photo to the lower halt
A journal page using PH Martins Bombay Indian ink and archival inks

Although Clare and Cherry had to go home early, Cherry set us a word prompt for a journal page
The last night prompt was "FRIENDSHIP" and Debbie and I ran with it!

All too soon Craftathon was over for another year, darn it. We rented a house and found the experience relaxing as we were in no hurry to be anywhere, it was lovely. Of course, it didn't hurt that the house was in an idyllic country setting and that the weather was GORGEOUS

Stunning views
Splendid countryside company!
A nice big table to craft on!
And a fab house to stay in and craft! My thanks go to Cherry, for a fab job of organising us for this year's Craftathon .. she probably felt it was a bit like herding cats!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed your visit to our craft retreat in 2018 as much as we did!
