Wednesday and it's downhill to the weekend

Morning readers,

I've a make to share with you today ....... oddly, for me, not a lot of stamping AND a coloured card front, hope you all approve. Purposely left without a sentiment as this was part of a commission whilst I was away.

My C6 card

And a closer view of the gluestick foiling
The inked, stamped and stencilled layer

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and black, for my card front and insert
  • Snippets of card in white, black and Kraft, for my image panel
  • Using a makeup brush I blended Distress Inks: antique linen, tea dye and faded jeans
  • Time Holtz letters (from THMM123 - Oct 2023 - NBUS) stamped using Distress Ink in weathered wood
  • Tim Holtz stencil (also from THMM123 - Oct 2023 - NBUS) overlaid and a layer of tea dye ink over the top, using the crackle section of the stencil
  • Using the "splatter" part of the above stencil I applied a glue stick over my panel, working the glue with my fingers.
  • After removing (and washing) my stencil I overlaid a sheet of gold foil, burnishing firmly with my fingers before leaving to dry for an hour, before lifting the foil
  • Obviously, I couldn't repeat this for the insert and envelope so I simply repeated the stamped pattern and then "splattered" the Jacquard water colour gold over the top

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. NBUS - challenge No. 56 - USE NBUS
  2. Snippets Playground - challenge No. 467 - USE SNIPPETS
  3. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 217 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 2345 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Stencil Fun - November stencil challenge - ANYTHING GOES

A lovely stamped and stencilled card for your commission. The little touch of gold foiling makes it extra special.

Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you up in the treehouse for a mug of hot chocolate later xxx

This is beautiful Kathy and I love the stamped and stencilled background and the wonderful gold foiling really makes it pop, and also the matted black card which gives some great contrast to the whole thing...a brilliant card! x
