Welcome to my mid week post

Morning readers,

I've an ATC (Artist Trading Card) to share with you this morning. Regular readers of my blog will know that I swap with a buddy on the Isle of Skye and this one is for her, for the theme of BEACH HUTS.

My ATC

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of card in both black and white
• On the snippet of white card I stamped the images (both from Crafty Individuals CI-278) using Memento tuxedo black for the beach huts and London fog for the seagulls
• Using Derwent Inktense blocks and a Caran d'Ache water brush I "water coloured" the ATC

Just back from a fab vacation in Florida so I have a few pix to share .......

One morning, these balloons passed right over us

Who doesn't love a balloon?

And, once I had packed my craft stash away I found myself itching to do something creative so .....

I had this ruffle wool left over from its twin (which I made about 2 years ago)
so I ran this up for my neighbour - hope she likes it

Morning all

Here we are half way through another week then, hope yours is working out well .... ours is, thank goodness.

A day without crafting is unusual and yesterday was no exception ...

My card

Materials used:

• White A2/C7 card blank and matching sized envelope
• Scallop edged card in "fossil" by The Paper Cut
• Snippets of white and black card
• Penny Black "Irises" stamped using Ranger Archival ink in watering can
• Fiskars sentiment (from the all year round sentiment set) stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
• Copic markers V04 and G24 and Marvy le Plume II #83 butterscotch used to add colour
• Stardust stickles to highlight

When I finished this make I wasn't sure I liked it but, after it spent a few hours in my line of sight it's certainly grown on me! I'll be entering this make for the following challenges:-

1. Crafting from the heart - challenge No. 85 - ANYTHING GOES
2. Craft Your Passion - challenge No. 287 - ANYTHING GOES
3. Craft It Up and Link It Up - November 8th challenge - MAKE IT SPARKLE
4. Fab 'n Funky - challenge No. 281 - CAS

And then, whilst I had the Penny Black cling stamp on an acrylic block .....

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of white and black card
• Distress Ink in twisted citron applied to the white card using a Tim Holtz mini blender and then again through the TCW mini mixed media stencil
• DRS Designs splatter image stamped using Distress Ink in crushed olive
• Penny Black Irises image stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
• Fiskars sentiment (from the all year round greetings set) stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
• Stardust stickles used to add sparkly highlights!

Came home and saw this little chap waiting for me ..

And a recent trip to Michaels resulted in these two smashers ... well, it WAS Buy One Get One Free - had to be done, didn't it?

And a trip to both Michaels and HobbyLobby netted this little lot ..

The wool? Well, with the aid of a youtube video and a pair of size 15 needles, I turned one of the above balls of yarn into this scarf over a couple of hours and a pair of episodes of NCIS. The cost? Less than two pounds!

I have to say that the video of the casting off
made NO SENSE to me at all but hey .......

The needles were slippery and the yarn tricky to keep straight as it looks like this

But I'm no quitter!!
