Monday - here we go again with another week

Morning readers,

Here's hoping you all had a good weekend, some of you may even have had some lovely weather! Maybe even fired up the BBQ? No BBQ here though we did sit outside with a chilled beverage ... very nice, considering it's nearly the middle of September! Cheers!

I've a make to share with you today .......

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of gold pearl card, cut to mat using a wide border
  • Using a makeup brush, Memento rosebud ink and a Tim Holtz mini stencil (from set #28) I applied colour to one corner, fading towards the centre
  • KanBan foliage silhouette (from stamp set 08) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Crafters Companion sentiment (from Sentimentals Greetings - Occasions) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Lil Patch of  Crafty Friends - challenge No. 144 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Your Next Stamp - challenge No. 147 - KEEPING IT CLEAN (and simple)
  3. Cute Card Thursday - challenge No. 651 - NO PATTERNED PAPER
  4. Corrosive Challenge - challenge No. 9 - ANYTHING GOES

I seem to have been stuck in a rut lately ... with stencilling to the lower right corner and a silhouette image ... not quite ready to give up on the stencilling and silhouette but thought it was time to ring the changes on the layout!

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of Paper Mill Christmas Red card, cut to mat
  • Snippets of card in both the white and Christmas Red, for my image panel
  • Using a makeup brush I applied Memento Paris dusk ink lightly to the entire image panel before then placing my Tim Holtz "snowflake" stencil (THS050) over the panel and adding a further layer of the Paris dusk ink
  • Penny Black sentiment (from "Joyous") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Penny Black poinsettia (also from "Joyous") stamped using Versafine onyx black ink, sprinkled with Judikins "sticky stuff", heat set and then red foil placed over the still hot image and burnished with my fingers - love the "hint of foil" this technique gives to the image ... you can just about make it out in the photo

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. ABC of Christmas - September challenge - "S" is for SNOW and "T" is for TINSEL - I went with snow (flakes)
  2. Chrimbo Crackers - challenge No. 215 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  3. Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 524 - CHRISTMAS
  4. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 507 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES

SUCH a lovely get well card . . . Would definitely aid recovery for the recipient.

I like the change of layout in the second card too.

Happy Monday.

Two brilliant cards Kathy, and I love your flower silhouette over the TH stencil, and love the way you have faded it out, and then the seasonal card using another pretty snowflake stencil by TH, and also the PB poinsettia with that gorgeous red foil, and such beautiful background colours on both cards but especially love that lilac for the snowflakes. x
