Monday ... also, the penultimate Rudolph Day of 2021

Morning readers,

I've a make to share with you today ....... well, it IS the penultimate Rudolph Day of 2021, what else could it be but a Christmas card?!!! I recently made a card (using a sketch) which encouraged me to use an embossing folder - given that it had been YEARS since I'd used one ..... it encouraged me to use another (quick before I forget about them for another five years!!!) folder AND the same sketch ... to see how different they looked. You can check out the first make beneath the make below .....

My C6 card

And a closer view of that adorable camel image!

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • White and red card, cut to fit and mat
  • Snippets of leftover white card, for my image/hat/sentiment panels - knocked out a few little snippets here today - reSULT!!!!
  • Nesting circle dies, to cut out my camel image
  • Hobby Arts camel, hat and sentiment (from their "Camel ye faithful set) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne (on card front) and morning mist inks
  • Pro Marker alcohol markers used to colour my camel and hat
  • I ran my Sizzix embossing folder through my big shot with one of my white card panels partially inside, to get allow the top section of my card to be embossed
  • Sharpie pen used to edge my image and sentiment panels
  • Anita's dimensional gloss and glamour dust applied to the "fur" areas of the hat

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Scraps of Life - October Rudolph Day - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  2. CAS Cards (FB group) - challenge sketch #20 - SKETCH ... see below

And now for an Artist Trading Card ....

My Artist Trading Card - measuring 3½" x 2½"

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in white and DCWV textured and glittered argyle card
  • Paper Artsy image and sentiment (from JM22) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Sharpie markers used to colour my image
  • Anita's dimensional gloss for the "glass" vase
  • Using a makeup brush I applied a light covering of Distress Oxide lucky clover before overlaying my Dutchdoobadoo stencil (fading dots #4) and applying further lucky clover ink

Looked out of the window yesterday, from my crafting area, and saw this rainbow.

Just a few minutes later, from my "office" half of it had all but disappeared, talk about timing!

I love this fun camel image and the coordinating sentiment and the bit of embossing along the top works brilliantly Kathy, then the ATC with the pretty stylised flowers and the dotty stencilled background goes beautifully. x

This is a lovely card! I think you did a great job on the sparkles of the Santa Hat! They really show up and pop off the card.

Thanks for taking part in the October Rudol[ph Days Challenge.
