Saturday - have a great weekend!

Morning readers,

It was surrogate Son-in-Law's birthday recently so, last night, we took him (and S.D. #2) out to dinner - it was a lovely evening.

I've a make to share with you today .......

My Artist Trading Coin

Materials used:
  • Snippets of leftover card in white and textured navy blue
  • Nesting circle dies to cut the 2½" and 2¼" circles for my ATCoin
  • Using a makeup brush I applied Distress Ink bundled safe over the white circle before adding the Tim Holtz mini stencil (burlap from set #14) and adding a little more bundled sage just to the outer edge.
  • Swapping to a blue colour family makeup brush and changing the Tim Holtz mini stencil for one from set #10 I applied Distress Ink in salty ocean to flourish, keeping the burlap stencilling visible
  • Using a Ranger sentiment which came free (in early 2019) with a magazine and Versafine Clair twilight ink I stamped the "hello" and "friend" before blinging it up by tracing the text with my unicorn stickles
  • White posca pen to doodle my dots ..... I have to say that it's prettier IRL than my phone camera or regular camera could reproduce!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Love to Craft Challenge Blog - October challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  2. QKR Stampede - challenge No. 406 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Through The Purple Haze - challenge No. 172 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) stitching which you can see I didn't use on my project.
  4. Bastel-Traum - challenge No. 94 - BACKGROUND
  5. Not Just Cards - October challenge - ANYTHING GOES

And now for a Get Well card, I've not made one in a while - thank goodness!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of black card, cut to mat
  • Using a makeup brush I applied Memento pear tart to the lower right hand corner.
  • Tim Holtz stencil (from mini set #28) placed over my inking and more pear tart applied - to add some texture
  • Kaisercraft border (from film edges) stamped using Versafine Clair shady lane ink
  • Penny Black foliage (3124F - "A cluster") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink .. this wood mounted stamp is probably at least ten years old ... good to have seen it inked again!
  • Hero Arts paint swipe (from AC026) stamped using Memento pear tart ink
  • Chapel Road sentiment (from "Vertical Greetings") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Unicorn stickles used to bling up the cluster

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

A very pretty ATCoin Kathy with some super stencilling and I particularly love the blue swirl, and the large sentiment which you have blinged up looks great, then the get well card with some beautiful silhouette flowers and love the bit of stencilling behind using the same pretty citrus lemon ink, and the vertical sentiment within a stripe of the same pretty citrus shade. x
