Friday - Woo Hoo! Roll on the weekend!

Morning readers,

Now here's a thing I've not really been able to say since March .. I went shopping on Wednesday ... with nothing really in mind!! OK, so it was only The Range but .... it's a step forward. I also put petrol in my car, for the first time since before lockdown! My car needed a little run to recharge the batteries so I had a totally pointless little drive around whilst I was out too - felt very weird. Who knew there were SO MANY ROADWORKS and around half a dozen sets of temporary traffic lights within three miles of my home too!! What did I buy? Well, aside from the fuel, I spent just £3.99 on some 4" x 4" kraft and C6 orange card blanks! Yes, I really let rip with the credit card!

I've a make to share with you today .......

My Artist Trading Card

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in cream and textured chocolate
  • Using a makeup brush I applied Memento tangelo ink over the cream snippet before placing my Dutchdoobadoo letters stencil (470.715.603) over the snippet and applying more tangelo ink
  • Tim Holtz mini stencil (from set #28) took the place of the Dutchdoobadoo stencil and Memento rich cocoa applied using the same makeup brush
  • Carabelle washi tape images stamped using Memento rich cocoa and Versafine Clair pinecone inks
  • Paper Artsy images (from Gentlemens plate 2) stamped using Versafine Clair pinecone
  • White Sakura gelly roll gel pen used to doodle the border

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One pieces of black card, cut to mat
  • I taped my Funky Fossil mask in place and, using a makeup brush, applied Adirondack watermelon ink to the masked off circle before placing my TCW (mini ringlets) stencil over the masked circle and applying Adirondack purple twilight ink over the watermelon
  • Removing the aperture mask I taped the "centre" over my inked circle (to protect my panel) before using my Memory Box grid stencil (88517) and makeup brush (without re-inking) to apply a random pattern of the watermelon ink before swapping out the stencil for my Tim Holtz bubbles stencil (THS002) and doing the same but using the purple twilight inked makeup brush
  • TCP sentiment (from S.5845.CL) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Sunshine Designs "sparkler" image (from SD078) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Paper Artsy splatter (from HPXY01) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink

Love BOTH the ATC AND the card. Lots of lovely inking going on.

Whaaaaat? You bought a pack of ORANGE card blanks . . . Did the petrol fumes go to your head?

Hugs, Sarn xxx

A great ATC Kathy and love the mix of stamps and stencils, and the vintage main image works well, and some more lovely white doodling round the edge, and I love the design of the card with that lovely bright partial circle with the pretty stencilling, and then some more softer around it, and the sparkler flower works beautifully over the top. I think this is definitely still CAS as there is quite a lot of white space around it and it is all on one layer apart from the mat you have added in the background. x
