Monday and we're off and running towards a new week - have a good one!

Morning readers,

Happy Monday and welcome to October, was it my imagination or did it rain A LOT over the weekend? And cold? So, cold .... October seems like it could be a washout! Any excuse to stay in and craft!

I've a make to share with you today ....... I set out to find a set of pig stamps recently, with this 45th birthday card in mind, whilst trawling, three other (totally unrelated) sets ALSO fell in to my basket and two of them saw ink before this project!!!!

My C6 "45th" birthday card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white, black and textured deep pink - cut to fit and mat
  • Carabelle "washi tape" image (from SA60118) stamped using Versafine Clair charming pink ink
  • Aall & Create pig image (from set #345 - NBUS) which I stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
  • Dutchdoobadoo stencil (470.715.157) used (with makeup brushes) to apply Distress Oxides in antique linen and kitsch flamingo ink around the piggy image, avoiding covering the stamped image
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour my image
  • Mini crystal adhesive gemstones used to give her the twinkly necklace, as befits the birthday girl herself (a big fan of pigs BTW)

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. NBUS - challenge No. 31 - USE NBUS
  2. Critter Crazy - challenge No. 55 - ANYTHING GOES (featuring a critter)
  3. A Perfect Time To Craft - challenge No. 10 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. SOSS - challenge No. 195 - "B" is for BIRTHDAY
  5. Stamping Sensations - October challenge - ANIMALS, BIRDS & BUGS

And now, an ATC holder .... looks really pretty simple and straightforward but ... check out the list of materials!! Pretty mixed media too! Here's hoping the swap buddy I made this for, will like it.

Here's my two dimensional ATC holder, ready to assemble

Above: the front and back view of the assembled ATC holder,
complete with the gold foiling

Materials used:
  • One A4 sheet of 200gsm card, cut to 7" square
  • I brayered Adirondack red pepper, purple twilight and sunset orange over the white card, just to lay down some colour
  • Aall & Create stencil #99 overlaid and the same inks applied through the stencil using a Tim Holtz mini blender
  • Inks used: ADIRONDACK red pepper, sunset orange, purple twilight and watermelon, VERSAFINE CLAIR nocturne, morning mist, pinecone and charming pink
  • Stamps used: Studiolight SL341 and SL363, Close to my heart D1257 and Ditzies Designs sentiment
  • Additional materials: Quickie glue pen and gold foiling, 1" punch, double sided tape

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Love To Craft Challenge Blog - challenge No. 63 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Creative Artiste - challenge No. 76 - ANYTHING MIXED MEDIA GOES
