Another Monday?!?! This one's the last of September .. tomorrow's OCTOBER!!!

Morning readers,

Yep, tomorrow WILL be the first of October, where IS the year going? I don't know what it's like with you but, around here, after seemingly endless rain ... it's now starting to feel very autumnal, we put our heating on yesterday! It was cold and we wanted to be sure it was going to work as we get progressively cooler! Darker mornings and evenings too, not a fan but there it is.

I've a make to share with you today .... yes, it's YET another Christmas card but I think I'm done batch making and back to the "one of a kind" paper crafting ... I'm on target to approach December with enough cards for 2024 and with some spare, for friends who want to purchase too, which is just as well as a pal asked if she could buy some - well, it's not like I was going to say "No" was it?. It's always so good to hear that your friends like your work enough to buy and send your hand made cards, isn't it?

My C6 card - I LOVE this font,
must use it more in the next year

Materials used:

  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
  • Card in white and navy, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Stampabarbara "carolling ornament" image stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Lightly coloured using Copic markers and gold glitter gel pen
  • Stampers Anonymous sentiment (from THMM156) stamped using Versafine Clair paradise ink
  • Crystal stickles to add some festive sparkle

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

  1. Addicted to Stamps - challenge No. 477 - CHRISTMAS
  2. Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 735 - ALL OCCASIONS
  3. Merry Little Christmas - challenge No. 58 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
  4. Rudolph Day Challenges - September challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Girlz Creative - challenge No. 92 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
And here's another card make ... this is another blank card intended as part of a gift, this time, a "guy" card.

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
  • Card in white and Chocolate brown, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Snippets of card in white and brown, for my image panel
  • Tim Holtz "Visual Artistry" car image, stamped using Versafine Clair 1st and 2nd gen impressions
  • Washi tape
  • Memento rich cocoa applied to the stamped white card panel, trying to avoid colouring over the car.
  • Clearly Besotted fading triangles stencil used, with a makeup brush, to apply Memento rich cocoa

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Allsorts - challenge No. 800 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Sweet Stampin' - Sept 28th - TRANSPORT
  3. Addicted to CAS - challenge No. 268 - MASCULINE

I discovered that I was a winner over at Creative Fingers, for challenge No. 284 - thanks so much peeps, appreciate it.

Two super cards - the snowman bauble is fun and the old car is just right for a man card. Difficult to believe it's October tomorrow

Congrats on your win.

Your snowman Christmas card is great and I agree about the nice font.

The masculine card is fab. Love the use of washi tape behind the focal point. Will have to remember that!!! Xxx

This snowman ornament looks great Kathy, and I love the font of the sentiment , and the masculine make with the card and stencilled background works brilliantly over the piece of washi tape beneath it across the card. Congratulations on winning over at Creative Fingers with that fun quirky character on the ATC. x

What a lovely pair of cards, Kathy and the Snowman one is perfect for our challenge. Your subtle colouring is beautiful and, as always, I love that the inside, back and envelope looks so pretty too. I'm not at all surprised that your friends want to buy your cards because your attention to detail is second to none!

Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM.
Hugs
