Friday - and it's RUDOLPH DAY too!

It's been quite a while since I've got two makes in one post but ... here goes.

My first make today ... I was invited to be a Guest Design Team Member over at Kleuren met Potloden and here is my make .... using a My Besties Digistamp image.

Materials used:

• White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
• Card in white and hot pink, for my image, insert and card front
• Snippet of white card, for my sentiment
• Unbranded nesting dies in plain and scalloped circles
• My Besties digistamp "Fall Besties of the pine" printed on white card
• Coloured using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils
• Sizzix Alterations embossing folder used to emboss my hot pink card
• MFT sentiment stamped on to a white snippet using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, fussy cut out and adhered to my card fron

• Paper Artsy snowman image (from ZA19) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
• Stamplorations sentiment (from "Oh Christmas tree") stamped using Versafine Clair strawberry ink
• Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to add colour and stardust stickles to add sparkle and texture

I've a make to share with you today ... an Artist Trading Card AND an excuse to break out my pan pastels which don't see the light of day too often these days! I saw the technique deployed in a youtube video but haven't been able to find it again, sorry! Oh, and I'm sorry my circle of pan pastels wasn't as bright (or quite as circular) as the original video - but it was my first attempt AND I discovered I don't own a white pan pastel so this was light grey!

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippet of card in black, cut to ATC size and a smaller white snippet for my sentiment
• Using a light shade of pan pastel (I WOULD have used white but don't own white!) and a tear drop sponge, I worked a loose "circle" of pastel on my black card panel
• Aall & Create image (from set #628) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
• MFT sentiment (from CS.74) stamped on to a white snippet using Versafine Clair nocturne ink which I then cut out before attaching to my ATC

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and that the unsettled weather didn't spoil any plans you may have had.

I've a make to share with you today ... another Artist Trading card. This one was for a Christmas theme and I decided to use this particular wood mounted image because it spends most of its time sitting (neglected) in the drawer! Nice for it to see the light of day! 

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of card in white and black
• All Night Media image ("squeezin's greetings" - 290F - VERY elderly ... All Night Media haven't been around since the early noughties!) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
• Faber Castell Polychromos pencils used to colour the image
• Clearly Besotted "clouds" stencil and a makeup brush with some leftover blue ink on, to form some clouds for the background
• Stardust stickles to add some sparkle to the snow and hat fur

Super Saturday - it's the weekend!

I've a make to share with you today ... an Artist Trading Card and a chance to use a few more of those pesky snippets, you know, the ones that seem to breed once you turn the lights off!

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of card in khaki, black and white (5 snippets this time around)
• Using a MISTI I stamped the Aall & Create (set 433) image using Brilliance pearlescent olive and cut to size before matting on black
• Unbranded (Amazon) dies use to cut a floral silhouette
• MFT sentiment (from CS.74) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink and cut out, with scissors, leaving a narrow white border

I've a make to share with you today ... another Artist Trading Card but a little different from other recent makes, this one's almost psychedelic! And rather textural too, with those "dollops" of glitter glue! I used a super set from Inkadinkado's "stamping gears" range .. though I'm not even sure I know where the "gears" mechanism is any more!

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of card in black and white
• Inkadinkado "stamping gears" image (from 65-32085) stamped multiple times using Memento tuxedo black ink
• Alcohol markers (a mix of Pro Markers and Copics) used to colour the images and background
• MFT sentiment (from CS.74) stamped on to another white snippet, using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, which I then cut out (leaving a narrow border) before adhering to my ATC
• Stardust stickles to add some sparkle and texture

Wednesday ... also known as "hump day" because it's downhill to the weekend!

I've a make to share with you today ... this is, technically, part 2 of 2 as I used the inks recently and was able to take two impressions (and this is the second impression) - there is a link to the earlier make contained within the materials list below

And, elsewhere on the card .. pic 2

Materials used:

• White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
• Card in white, hot pressed water colour card and pearl grey, for my card front, inset and matting layer
• Snippet of pearl grey card, to die cut the flower
• Unbranded (Amazon) floral dies to cut my grey flower
• Distress Inks: mustard seed, picked raspberry and wilted violet pressed on to an acrylic block, spritzed with water and then "smooshed" on to my water colour card before setting aside to dry. This was the second impression and the card made using the 1st impression may be seen here.
• Uniko sentiment (from "Anniversaire art decoratif" from 2020, a gift from a pal) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
• Since I used a die on the card front I obviously didn't want to use a die cut on the insert and envelope so stamped the Pink & Main image I felt matched well (from PM0554 - from 2023) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink and shown in pic 2 above
• Finally, a quick spritz of Crafters Companion Spray and Shine, to protect those water based inks

I've a make to share with you today ... an "occasion free" water coloured card which I THINK would be suitable for so very many occasions that I wanted to leave the sentiment till I was ready to mail it. I made a second impression on water colour paper too, so ... expect to see that in the coming week or so!

Materials used:

• White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
• Card in textured lavender, white, and Daler Rowney hot pressed water colour card
• Using a square acrylic block, I pressed Distress Inks in mustard seed, picked raspberry and wilted violet before spritzing with water and then pressing on to my water colour card (I repeated this a second time, the ink was obviously lighter but ... you can see the two "prints" below) and set them both aside to dry
• Clearly Inspired coneflower image (from LCS100) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
• Stardust stickles - to add a little sparkle
• A quick spritz of Crafters Companion spray and shine, to seal the water based inks

Lovely day with my pal yesterday, we had a coffee and a chat, followed by lunch and more chat and then another drink and ... you guessed it, more chat, it was smashing to just chill.

I've a make to share with you today, monochrome but with a pop of colour and sparkle ... another chance to use plenty of snippets too! Woo Hoo! 

Materials used:

• White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
• Card in white and black, for my card front, insert and matting layer
• Snippets of card in white, textured black, textured red and DCWV glitter stack
• Clearly Inspired image (from LCS100 - "brushed flowers") and sentiments by both MFT  (CS.74) and CRASPIRE (WHO167-57-0250) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne inks
• I cut out the "BIRTHDAY" to attach to the front and the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" sentiment was used elsewhere on the card and envelope
• Stardust stickles on the rose "petals" to add some celebratory sparkle

• Stardust stickles, to add a little sparkle to the flower and surrounding polka dots
