Friday and the weekend's approaching

Morning readers,

Hope you are all ready for a fab weekend, after all, it's been a short week (for many but not all) thanks to the Bank Holiday on Monday.

I recently acquired some new stash which I wanted to ink before I put it away and forgot about it! You can see what I made in the photos below ......

My card
And a closer view of the colouring and sparkle

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of yellow/white chevron card, cut to mat
  • Stampendous frog image (SSC1269 - "Yoga frogs") stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • MFT sentiment (CS-274 - "Anything but basic birthday") stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • THMST038 stencil and Distress Ink in twisted citron, for the grass - prismacolour scholar grass green to add "tufts"
  • Derwent coloursoft and Prismacolour scholar pencils used to colour
  • Stardust stickles used to accentuate the sentiment, spots and grass!!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 1918 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Crafting From The Heart - challenge No. 242 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. International Art & Soul - challenge No 57 - BIRTHDAY (albeit he word birthday doesn't appear on the front but does on the insert and envelope)
  4. The Library Challenge - challenge No. 32 - ALL CREATURES (frog) GREAT AND SMALL
  5. Water Cooler Wednesday - challenge No. 220 - ALL ABOUT OCCASIONS

And the recent stash acquisition? So far I've used several of the sentiments and some of the gold foil from the photo on the left and now I've used one of the frogs from the photo on the right too - yee haa!

And, whilst I had the frog on an acrylic block and the lid off the glue stick - I do love the uneven and slightly grungey effect obtained using a glue stick for foiling!

My Artist Trading Card

This frog is fun and I love the two different treatments - the cas look with the border details on the first and the 'organic' gold foiling on the second. Thanks for joining The Library.
