| My foiled card |
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Apologies for the blurry pic showing the card and envelope fronts - too late to re-take it now!
Materials used:
- White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
- Two pieces of white card cut to fit (one was die cut using WRMK nesting "faux stitched" dies)
- One piece of yellow card, cut to mat
- Snippet of card cut to fit card panel and then a rectangle die cut, to use as a mask
- With mask in place I applied Distress Inks: scattered straw, wild honey and a little barn door
- With the mask still in place I overlaid the circle stencil (THMST007) and rubbed a Ranger collage glue stick over, working the glue in using a finger
- Sheet gold foil placed over the stencil and, again, burnished with a finger and set aside to "cure" overnight before removing foil
- Removing the foil and stencil I gave it a quick application of Krylon sealant, to protect the water based inks
- Stampendous sentiments (from SSC1115 "Birthday wish"), stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
Loving the sumptuous look of this gold glue stick foiling, in particular the way it's kind of uneven because it's been burnished using my trusty finger, adds to the charm IMHO!!!
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday challenge - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ... 2nd entry
- Alphabet Challenge - April 26th challenge - "C" is for CAS (Clean And Simple)
- Pattie's Creations - challenge No. 158 - BIRTHDAY
- Seize The Birthday - challenge No. 164 - TEXTURE .. the gluestick foiling leaves a definite textural feel to the make
- Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 226 - FEMININE + A SENTIMENT .. what women wouldn't love a nice rich colour accentuated by GOLD!?!??!?
