I'd like to welcome new follower, AndreaC, didn't find a link to a blog (sorry) for you to follow or for me to reciprocate.

There I was, rummaging through my cards "in stock" and I made a rather astonishing discovery ...... I MAKE MORE MALE CARDS THAN FEMALE!!! I found this very odd since I SEND to more women than men! How did this even happen? Maybe I'm just drawn to more masculine images and/or colours or maybe I just sent out most of my more feminine cards! - whatever the reason, I probably need to make some slightly more feminine cards!

With that in mind .....

Materials used:

• 17½ x 12½cm white, 300gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
• Two pieces of white card cut to 11 x 16cm
• Card in turquoise and orange (to match my flowers) cut to mat with a 1.6mm border
• JOFY12 image and JOFY14 sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black.Ranger Archival and Versafine onyx black inks (memento used where sansodor was going to be used)
• Derwent coloursoft pencils used to colour and sansodor to blend, using a paper stump
• Kaisercraft glitter gel pens used to accentuate

Lazy Sunday!

You know how it is when you get new stash home? It falls in to one of two categories, you either crack the seal IMMEDIATELY (if not sooner) or it heads to the drawer for you to "rediscover" at some point and either use or sell! This little chap hardly got in through the door before he was turned in to a Christmas card (see my Friday post here), a birthday card (see my Saturday post here) and has now become an ATC ..... I liked this project well enough when I had finished it but have come to love it since completing it on Wednesday evening .. it may well be one of those which never gets swapped! I have three of those on my desk right now .. one was a grumpie Halloween ATC another a collage using a Craft Stamper free image and now this little chap! Perhaps I should make a little book to keep them in .....?

My ATC

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of card in red and white
• Paper Artsy ZN08 image stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
• Alcohol markers used to colour image (including Copic fruit pink for background)
• Paper Artsy circles design (from JOFY14) stamped using Memento rosebud, rhubarb stalk and Brilliance white inks
• Tsukineko gelly roll white gel pen and Kasiercraft black glitter gel pen used to doodle a border (I also used the black pen to draw over the arms and legs to define them a little more)
• Stardust stickles used to bling it up and "ground" my image

 Materials used:

• 18 x 12½cm white, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
• Two white card panels cut to 16 x 11½cm and one cut to 9 x 5cm
• Purple card cut to mat with a 1.6mm border + snippet of black for image panel, again cut to a 1.6mm mat
• Purple organza ribbon 1½cm and narrow purple satin ribbon wrapped round larger white card panel and tied in an offcentre knot
• Penny Black image stamped using Versafine Imperial purple
• Happy Little Stampers sentiment stamped using Versafine inks in Imperial purple and (on the card front) onxy black
• Stardust stickles to highlight the floral image
• Faux crystal "gemstones" used to add accents

Hope your weekend is starting off well.

Using new stash usually promotes the wellbeing of my  mojo and this week's acquisition of one of the Paper Artsy mini's has proven no exception .... in fact, I've seldom had so much fun with new stash!

Materials used:

• White 17½ x 12½cm, 300gsm, scalloped edge card and matching sized envelope
• Red card cut to 16½ x 11½cm and 8 x 11cm
• White card cut to 16 x 11cm and 7½ x 10½cm
• Red satin dotty ribbon 
• Paper Artsy ZN08 image stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
• Unknown manufacturers sentiment (it MAY have been dimension but I'm not sure, it's shown below with the wooden handle - if anyone knows for sure then please add in comments) and Costco numeral image stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
• Derwent Coloursoft pencils used to colour, blended with sansodor and a paper stump - I'm having fun with these pencils and I'd LIKE to think that my colouring may even be improving!
• Stardust stickles to highlight and Plaid dimensional gloss to give him a shiny, healthy nose!

Materials used:

• White 18 x 12½, 300gsm,card and matching sized envelope
• Two white card panel cut to 11½ x 17cm
• Teal card cut to mat with 1.6mm border and the offcut die cut in to "HAPPY" and "BIRTHDAY" using Stamplorations dies which I then ran through my Xyron sticker maker to add adhesive
• Paper Artsy foliage from JOFY12 set stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
• For the sentiment inside, on the reverse and envelope I stamped my Creative Expressions (from Urban Beats) using Brilliance pearlescent jade ink
• Stardust stickles and faux crystal gemstones used to bling up the foliage

I have a Christmas card to share with you today too .. I had intended to make several each month and started the year so well that I got ahead of myself and then ... nothing, which means I'm now back to playing catch up. I bought this image just this week and, as soon as I saw him, I saw Santa!! Does that make me as crazy a bird as the collection of stamps from Tim Holtz?!?!?!

• Paper Artsy ZN08 image, Sparkle 'n Sprinkle sentiment and Stampers Anonymous Crazy Birds accessory stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
• Alcohol markers to colour image
• Kaisercraft gel black and Wink of Stella clear glitter pens and stardust stickles to bling up the "fur"

Was out with a pal yesterday, we met at Snazzy's in Swindon - Val had the kettle on! After a natter and a bit of a shop it was off for a bite of lunch and more natter - splendid day - can't wait to do it all again.

Had to be done, after all, it WAS Shrove Tuesday!

You know how it is when you find a sketch you like? Well it's been AGES since I used a sketch (feels like it anyway) but I found one on Saturday that plainly struck a chord so ... here's its second outing on my blog - hope you like this make too. Can't remember my first? You can see it here

• 15cm white, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
• Two pieces of white card cut to 14cm square + one piece 5 x 14cm
• One piece of grey card cut to 14½cm square + one piece cut to 5.2 x 14.2cm
• Snippets of card in white, grey and black for the circle design and sentiment
• Kaisercraft vintage fence image stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink
• Kaisercraft tiny dots image stamped using Memento grey flannel ink
• Kaisrcraft bubble wrap image stamped using Memento London fog ink
• Creative Expressions stars (from the elderly Urban Beats set) stamped using Versamark ink and then heat embossed using Distress EP in black soot, elsewhere I stamped the image using Versafine onyx black ink
• Funstamps sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
