HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Hey there readers,

I know I don't normally post on a Tuesday but, it's a special occasion .. it's Halloween and I've a couple of pix to share today .... but first ... a card to share


My card

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one piece of black card cut to mat
  • Art Gone Wild car image and Creative Expressions sentiment (Urban Beats) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Creative Expressions tyre track image stamped using Ranger Archival grey shadow (on the image layer) and Distress Oxide antique linen (on the black layer) inks
  • Black dimensional glitter used to trace the font of the sentiment
I still can't believe that wood mounted image was less than two pounds!

Welcome to the start of another week!

Morning all,

Here's hoping you all enjoyed a fab weekend with something nice occurring too. It was a little chilly here and I broke my washing machine but hey ... a lovely evening with friends and a good meal more than made up for it!

I've a couple of makes to share with you today, the first uses one of my fave stamp sets plus a number of SNIPPETS (always good to use up some of those errant snippets isn't it?) and the second deploys ribbon, which I don't use often these days, AND a cool Dina Wakley image - hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed making them and thanks for stopping by.

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • One piece of white card and a snippet of purple card cut to fit along with a piece of DCWV patterned card (from the Rockstar stack) along with snippets of white, charcoal and purple card - for my image panel
  • Creative Expressions star (from one of my favourites .... their Urban Beats set) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stampers Anonymous sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • White image panel edged using Memento grape jelly ink
  • Black glitter glue used to add a more masculine take on "bling"

  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one piece of navy card cut to mat.
  • Snippets of card in white and navy, for my image panel and sentiment panel
  • Narrow dark blue satin ribbon, attached to my card using double sided tape
  • Dina Wakley image stamped using Memento Luxe nautical blue ink
  • Derwent coloursoft pencils (three shades of blue) used to colour background and blended using gamsol and a paper stump
  • Hero Arts sentiment stamped on to a small snippet of white card using Memento tuxedo black ink and attached to a snippet of navy by running through my Xyron sticker maker
  • Stardust stickles used to trace the figures outline

Woo Hoo! It's the weekend!

Morning,

It's Saturday and this is usually my day for indulging myself with crafting and challenges!

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in white and yellow
  • Dylusions "Holy Birds" image and sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Derwent coloursoft and Prismacolour scholar pencils used to colour, blended with gamsol and a paper stump
  • Dylusions Clearly borders image stamped using Ranger Archival grey shadow ink on to the yellow layer
  • Ranger Archival cobalt ink used to edge the image panel
  • Stardust stickles to accentuate

  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one piece of burgundy, cut to mat
  • Using low tack tape I masked off my shape and inked using Distress Ink in mustard seed and spiced marmalade
  • Stampers Anonymous script stamped using Memento rosebud ink
  • Dylusions circles randomly stamped using Memento sweet plum ink
  • Recollections splatter stamped using Ranger Archival vermilion ink
  • Inkadinkado image (meadow set) and Stampendous sentiment (Birthday wish set) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Krylon matte sealant applied to seal the water based inks

It's Friday and another weekend's about the start!

Morning all,

Had a good week? If the answer is yes then that's terrific, if the answer's no then ... it's the start of the weekend, hope that will be better.

I've had a busy week, creatively, and have also enjoyed time with friends - which I so enjoy. I've a couple of makes to share with you .... the first uses some older stash and the second NEW, which is great as I enjoy getting new stash inky


My card

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and two pieces of (Recollections) burgundy card cut to mat
  • Dina Wakley image stamped using Distress Oxide candied apple, I then used a waterbrush to smoosh the body a little more and then used what was left on the brush to add a little "grounding"
  • Wink of stella clear glitter gel brush pen used to bling up said "grounding"
  • Creative Expressions (urban beats) sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stampers Anonymous (Grunge cirque) image stamped on to the burgundy matting layer using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stardust stickles used to trace the font of the sentiment
  • Faux crystal gemstones added to three of the corners

  • Dylusions image and Stampendous sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Derwent coloursoft pencils used to colour and blended using gamsol and a blending stump
  • Distress Ink in wild honey applied through a Dylusions stencil
  • Stardust stickles to accentuate the image

Welcome to mid week - Wednesday and it's Rudolph Day!

Morning all,

Crumbs, these Rudolph Days come around fast, only one more to go before Christmas so, I thought I should make a Christmas card for my 2017 quota. Thankfully, I THINK I'm almost there - YAY!


My card

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and two pieces of navy card cut to mat
  • 2½" square piece of white card and 2¾" piece of navy card
  • Stampers Anonymous snowflake stamped using Ranger Arcihival cobalt ink
  • On one white card panel I brayered Distress Inks in weathered wood and faded jeans
  • Length of bakers twine
  • Dimensional foam pads
  • Stardust stickles to bling up the snowflake
  • Paper Artsy (JOFY17) sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink

I've a quick thank you card to share with you, made for a pal who thoughtfully made us a batch of chocolate chip cookies! The cookies? Scrumptious btw

  • Hampton Arts solid sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Inkadinkado (from the meadow set) stamped using Versafine majestic blue ink
  • Stardust stickles to trace sentiment and bling up image
