Monday, new month ... new challenge

Morning readers,

It's the first of the month and time for a new challenge over at the Love To Craft Challenge Blog - I hope you will pop along and support me and my fellow Deign Team members for this challenge, it's an Anything Goes challenge so pretty broad. Here's my Design Team Make for April .... using one of my favourite techniques - layering stamps/inks

My Artist Trading Card
A closer view of the details
And a view of the matting layers
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in pink, blue and white
  • Using the "make art" set below (free with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine, issue #186) I stamped one image on the pink layer using Memento rosebud ink and another image on the blue layer using Memento Bahama blue inks
  • One the white snippet I stamped the following Kaisercraft background images: Tiny Dots using Memento dandelion ink, Hessian using Memento rosebud ink and Script using Memento Bahama blue ink - giving a nice grungey background
  • Penny Black iris image (from their "T" for Transparent Allegro set) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Once dry (as the Clair's take a short while to dry) I used Inktense blocks and a waterbrush to add colour to the iris before finishing off with a little diamond stickles to bling it up!

Stamps and inks used on this project
Additionally, I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Aloha Friday - challenge No. 139 - IN THE GARDEN
  2. Cute Card Thursday - challenge No. 575 - FEMININE
  3. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 160 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Pixie's Crafty Workshop - challenge No. 349 - USE SNIPPETS
