It's the weekend - have a good one!

Morning readers,

I've a make to share with you today ... I thought I would make some tags, to co-ordinate with some wrapping paper that I bought for 2025 but didn't actually need to crack the seal on. Naturally, I didn't have an exact match for the tree on the paper, but figured this tree stamp would work. Next issue was that I have NO gold embossing powder, I know I certainly USED to have some but ... mine was nowhere to be found. I had gold tinsel but I figured that would blur the text within the tree, so I wanted superfine embossing powder. I don't know about you, dear reader, but once I get an idea in my head it has to happen NOW or probably not at all so, I improvised ... and used white embossing powder instead - what do you think? After all, I have months to acquire some gold EP and make some more.

Speaking of which, I was on a famous (or perhaps infamous!) website that usually delivers next day and found some Artemio super fine gold EP .... as I was perusing the details I noticed a comment which read "This item normally ships within six to seven MONTHS"! Now, I KNOW I said I had plenty of time but .... how is it shipping? By snail????

Anyhoo ... back to the tags .....

This was the bundle of wrap that I thought
I would make some tags for, pretty sure I'll
be cracking the seal in 2026!

Materials used:

  • Snippets of card in black and white (only the black snippets shown
  • Go Kreate nesting tag die, used to die cut black and white tags
  • Hero Arts tree image ("Merry Merry Christmas Tree" F4818) stamped using Versafine embossing powder, sprinkled with Funstamps white embossing powder and heat set
  • Hero Arts sentiment (from CL.343 nice to get to use this older set again too) stamped using Versafine Clair strawberry ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

  1. Creative Inspiration - challenge No. 34 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Love to Craft - challenge No. 90 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Love to Scrap - challenge No. 177 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Pattie's Creations - challenge No. 238 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Creative Friday - challenge No. 402 - TAG
Found myself a top pick at Simply CAS for my crows card - thanks peeps.

And, having availed myself of the Aall & Create sale (on Christmas Day I might add) my delivery rocked up on January 2nd, which I didn't think was at all bad, considering the Bank Holidays involved! Well done Aall & Create.

I think those tree tags will be just fine for your wrapping paper. But you should definitely have some gold EP in your stash!!! Xxx
