Welcome to WOYWW

Morning readers,

How's your week shaping up? Good news is .. it's downhill all the way to the weekend! YAY!

This is a bit of a photo heavy post today as I've had a very craft-y few days - perhaps because of the rain!

My card
The front and back of my card and the reverse of the envelope
Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of card (one white and one red) cut to 14.2cm x 10cm
  • One piece of white card cut to 13.7 x 9.5cm
  • Woodware image stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils to colour the central star
  • Plaid dimensional gloss to the "O" and to the star

I'll be entering this make for the following challenges:
  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 335 - COLOURS OF YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG
  2. Shopping our stash - challenge No. 310 - COLOURS OF YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG
  3. Simon Says Stamp - Monday challenge - RED, WHITE AND/OR BLUE
  4. Get Creative - challenge No. 60 - CLEAN AND SIMPLE - ENTRY #1
  5. Addicted to Stamps - challenge No. 249 - CLEAN AND SIMPLE

I also have an ATC to share with you this morning. If I'm honest, I'm really loving making them right now and I SO do not need to make any more cards - unless they're Christmas, toward my 2017 quota!

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in neon pink, aubergine and white
  • Penny Black image stamped using Ranger Archival deep purple ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to add highlights of colour to the image
  • Hero Arts sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Kaisercraft mini grid image stamped using Ranger Archival mini majestic violet ink
  • Paper Artsy splatter image (HPXT01) stamped using Ranger Archival mini vibrant fuchsia ink
  • Stardust stickles used to bling up the flower, stem and leaves
  • I used a full coverage adhesive "post it" as a mask, to ensure the grid didn't stamp over the flower and spoil it

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Cute Card Thursday - challenge No. 484 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Art Impressions - challenge No. 211 - MAKE A BACKGROUND
  3. Take a word - July 2nd challenge - SUMMER FLOWERS

And here's another ATC ... I don't have that many images by Viva Las Vegas so it's not often that I'm able to enter their challenges so ....

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in white and navy
  • Using a Tim Holtz mini blending tool I blended Distress Inks in: tumbled glass, salty ocean and stormy sky before stencilling some of the ink (without adding further) through the TCW circles stencil
  • FLONZ (Urban landscapes) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • VLV (plate #921) image stamped on to a separate white snippet using Memento tuxedo ink, coloured using Faber Castell polychromos pencils and then fussy cut out before running through my Xyron sticker maker to apply to my ATC
  • Stamplorations sentiment (Noteworthy set) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • VLV (plate #921) image (winged girl's "hair" only) stamped around the outer edge of the navy layer using Brilliance moonlight white ink
  • Crafters Companion Spray and Shine applied to project to seal the water based inks

I'll be entering the above ATC for the following challenges:-
  1. Viva Las Vegas - July challenge - PHOTO INSPIRATION .... I took my inspiration from the colour and pattern of the background and the iconic structure (leaning tower of Pisa) which I translated in to the Beg Ben from my skyline image, instead of the truck .. my mode of transport was the steampunk flying critter!
  2. Simply Papercrafts for all occasions - challenge No. 48 - ANYTHING GOES

And, since it IS What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, here is my messy desk!

Three super makes again, Kathy. I especailly love the CAS design of your Thank You card and the shiny star is the perfect finishing touch.

Looks like it's going to be a day for getting out in the sunshine today, not a cloud in the sky! xx

I love your card with that lovely large thank you and just right for the LIM challenge Kathy and your two ATC's with the prettily coloured Iris and then cute and fun image using VLV stamps so well thought out using the photo inspiration. Your desk certainly looks as though there has been lots of creativity too. x

Super atc's Kathy but your card is an absolute stunner! The delicate shade of blue works perfectly with the bolder red - and all that luscious white space too. Super design. The sentiment stamp is superb because the typography inside the letters adds the illusion of texture. Thanks so much for popping a second entry into us at Less is More xx
