Welcome to the first week in May ..

Morning all,

WOW! What a weekend? Lovely weather and it being Bank Holiday too!!! Were YOU making the most of it? I bet there were a fair few BBQ's dragged from their winter storage! Not us though, we were out to dinner with friends on Saturday, always a nice evening.

New stash, who doesn't love it? Do you ever get it home and wonder why you bought it? Yes, been there and done that and I was slightly afraid that might have been the case with the set below but, thankfully, not so. In fact, I made a masculine card with it last week and decided that I needed to make an ATC in a very similar fashion - see below. If you want to see the card then check it out here

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC Blank
  • Snippets of card in grey and white
  • On the white card I stencilled the diamond design section of the stencil, using the grey ink before overstamping the number stamp using the same ink
  • I used the juicier versafine ink for the focal image and the memento ink for the stars
THMM104, Versafine Onyx black, Memento tuxedo black and Ranger Archival shadow grey inks
I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Crafting by Designs - May challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Penny's Paper Challenge - challenge No. 378 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Brown Sugar - challenge No. 278 - MASCULINE or FATHERS DAY
  4. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 81 - ANYTHING GOES
And now for a get well card, for a poorly pal, hope it will cheer her up

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of patterned card from the DCWV "rockstar" stack, cut to mat
  • Snippets of white card and the DCWV patterned card, for my image panel
  • Image, sentiments and pawprints stamped as per materials list below
  • Pencils used to colour image
  • Stardust stickles to bling up slippers and paws
Prismacolour scholar and Derwent coloursoft pencils
STAMPS: Art Impressions AICS38 "Doggy Kisses and Fiskars 01 005534 "All Year Greetings"

I love the look of tbe ATC Kathy and the softer stencilling in the background suits it perfectly, and such a cute and fun image for the 'get well' card, which would certainly make you smile and cbeer you up, and with beautiful pencil colouring too. x

Love the layering of stamps and using that technique on the small dimensions of an ATC is simply brilliant! Terrific idea! Thanks for sharing at PPCC blog! Becca/DT
