A Sunday morning post? How unusual?

Morning all,

Yes, it has become a little unusual for me to post on a Sunday of late but ... I've had a pretty creative week and thought I'd slip an extra post in rather than have four or more cards in a post tomorrow!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of yellow card, cut to mat
  • Snippets of card in white and navy, for my image panel
  • Image stamped using black ink, including on to a piece of scrap paper which I then cut out and used as a mask before stamping the present and bow
  • Pencils used to colour, blending with gamsol and a paper stump
  • Sentiment stamped using black ink
  • Wink of Stella clear glitter gel pen and stardust stickles used to bling up my make!
Stampendous CLD09 "Seated Elf", Memento tuxedo black ink
Derwent coloursoft pencils, Wink of Stella clear glitter gel pen
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 383 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
  2. Colour Crazy - challenge No. 17 - ANYTHING (hand coloured) GOES
  3. Chrimbo Crackers - challenge No. 157 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
  4. ABC Christmas Challenge - April challenge - "H" is for HATS or "I" is for ICE - I went with HATS
For my second post today I have a softer feminine make ......

  • Snippets of card in white and navy, for my image panel
  • Lavender polka dot organza ribbon
  • Butterfly image stamped using blue ink, also on to scrap paper which I then cut out and placed over my image

Wow, you have been busy Kathy and I love your cute elf in those pretty bright colours and the sentiment really made me smile, and then the blue butterfly makes a really elegant card with the background stencilling and the ribbon in the lilac against the white and blue of the layers. Congratulations on making the Top 3 over at Shopping Your Stash and well deserved with that classic car, another elegant card. x

What a fabby snippets card Katy (I love the elf one too of course!). Loved reading how you made your snippets background in those two stages using a mask - a subtle but really pretty result. What always gets me is how many different techniques you've mastered and so many different styles - clever little sausage!

Hugs
