Sunday and a GDTM make to share

Morning peeps,

I'm delighted to have been asked to guest on the Design Team over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop where the lovely Di hosts a fortnightly challenge to use snippets ... and who doesn't have tons of those? I hope you will follow my link and join the fun there. In the meantime, here is my make for her challenge ..

My card
And a closer view - to show the texture

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Snippets of card in black, silver mirri, white and grey
  • Nesting square "faux stitched" die used to cut a black square
  • Grey grosgrain ribbon
  • Double sided tape and dimensional foam tape
  • Motorcycle image (unmounted rubber I've had so long I no longer have ANY idea who its by) and sentiment from The Cats Pyjamas (S5845-CL)
  • Archival jet black, Versafine onyx black and Versamark clear embossing inks
  • Heat It Up clear embossing powder
  • Heat gun
I used the "Black Ice" technique on this card, I discovered it recently and I am LOVING it - so good for male cards, IMHO ... I've added a link to the blog post where I first used this technique .... there's a video embedded in to post along with another example of this fab technique

Snippets Playground Badge

Additionally, I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Sweet Stampin' - March 10th challenge - INSPIRED BY A SONG ..... I went with Chris Spedding's Motorbikin' ... see video at the bottom of this post
  2. Elliebelle's Creative Moments - challenge No. 6 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Alphabet Challenge - March 2nd challenge - "Y" if for YOUR CHOICE .. so I went with "M" for masculine and monochrome!
  4. Seize The Birthday - March challenge - ANYTHING BIRTHDAY GOES
  5. Jo's ScrapShack - challenge No. 224 - ANYTHING GOES

Congratulations on being the playground guest - I hope you'll be able to keep all the playmates in order!
Your card is absolutely fabulous and I've just watched the video all the way through which is something amazing for me as I'm well known for not having the patience to sit and watch videos (or TV or films.... I'm an impatient soul!)
I think we're going to be seeing Black Ice on everyone's blogs very very soon now, certainly on mine.
