Whoops! Here comes another week!

Morning all,

I hope that the transition to British Summer Time went well for you all yesterday, here in the U.K., it did kind of feel like the middle of the night though .... after settling down around midnight the 08:00 (that was 07:00) alarm felt like only minutes later! That'll teach me! Not like my book was even THAT gripping and yet still I read long after I should have been sleeping!

I ordered some new dies on Thursday and they came pretty fast ..... I was tempted to make a sympathy card as I felt that, with a simple sentiment, it wouldn't need anything else. As it happens, I was wrong and added a couple of tiny gemstones but ... always good to have a couple of these cards in stock so I don't have to make them after the worst happens.

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the back of the envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of black card cut to mat
  • Using washi tape I placed the Sizzix die on the smaller of my white card panels before running through my big shot
  • TCP sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • PaperMania tiny faux crystal gemstones used to just take the edge off the austerity of the card
Papermania faux crystal gemstones, The Cats Pyjamas sentiment set S 5845-CL and
Sizzix/Tim Holtz 660220 mixed media thinlits dies

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Allsorts Challenge - challenge No. 460 - BLACK AND WHITE ONLY
  2. Elliebelle's - challenge No. 8 - BLACK AND WHITE ONLY
  3. Crafty Friends - challenge No. 80 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. QKR Stampede - challenge No. 288 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Crafting With Friends - challenge No. 63 - ANYTHING GOES
And, since the cold weather is forecast to return, can I help it if my thoughts turn to Christmas cards? On a private blog I belong to we run a Rudolph Day challenge and this time around the theme is "USE YOUR WORDS", so I thought I would have a go .....

Two wonderful cards Kathy and I love those corner fragment dies by TH and I think the added little gems and sentiment are the perfect finishing touches. The CI sentiment panel is enhanced so prettily with the added stencilling in the background, and the gold mats and green ribbon make a lovely colour combination. x
