Welcome to the start of the weekend!

Morning readers,

How's your week coming along? Mine's been pretty good too, in case you were about to ask .... managed some crafting (always good as it relaxes me) and today's make was both quick (super quick if the truth be told) AND quite CAS (Clean And Simple) too, so ticked several boxes. I might try this again using a more masculine colour than the fabulous  teal and see if it will work as a guy card - given that it's not exactly FLORAL!! Whaddya reckon? Will it work?

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my card
Materials used:
  • White 12cm square, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one of turquoise, cut to mat
  • Dovecraft sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Kaisercraft leafy image stamped using Ranger Archival paradise teal ink
  • Stardust stickles used to trace (and bling) the larger font of the sentiment
Kaisercraft "Botanica" and Dovecrafts DCSTP106
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Pause, Dream, Enjoy - challenge No. 11 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Water Cooler Wednesday - challenge No. 161 - OCCASIONS
  3. Crafty Creations - challenge No. 362 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Creative Inspirations - March challenge - ANY OCCASION
  5. Seize The Birthday - March 15th challenge - TEAL AND WHITE

You know how you always mean to have flowers in the house but then never remember to buy them?  .... I was so lucky to be given two bunches of tulips for Mothers Day (receiving one bunch on the Thursday before and one on Saturday) and here's how lovely they still looked in yesterday's sunshine so, my heartfelt thanks to Mary, Barry, Chris, Becky, Harry and Zac - these are just fab as well as unexpected. Of course you will, no doubt, have spotted that I am NO flower arranger!

Great card Mate and would work for a male card I think

A very sparkly and pretty card and in more masculine colours this would definitely work Kathy. Lovely tulips you had for Mothers Day too and they have lasted well as quite often they flag very quickly. x

I'm with Lillian and Pat in that I reckon the birthday card would be fine for a masculine card in different colourscheme.

LOVELY Spring flowers and they look fine arranged au naturel to me!

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Oh what beautiful tulips to brighten your day. One of the best signs of spring! This is a terrific CAS card and while it works so well in this colour I think it could be turned into a masculine card easily with more neutral colours. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us at the Watercooler Wednesday "Any Occasion" challenge this week.
