TGIF peeps!

Morning all,

Not too sorry to get this week done and dusted, it started off badly with snow, snow and then (for a change) a bit more snow, then it warmed up - make up your mind weather, we're past the middle of March and the Spring equinox was Tuesday! One of my friends had to cancel our girlies day out due to an issue with her achilles tendon - feel better soon matey - once you've recovered, we'll reschedule.

Anyhoo, all this chillsome weather gave me a perfectly good excuse to stay in and craft - like I needed one of those! Today I have used a similar (but not the same) design as a previous card ... I said I would give it a go using more masculine colours to see if it worked as a guy card - you tell me peeps, does it?

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • Card in grey and navy cut to fit with narrow borders
  • Foliage image stamped using Memento London fog ink
  • Large fonted sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival cobalt blue ink
  • Small fonted sentiment stamped using Memento grey flannel ink
Kaisercraft "Botanica" + Stamploradions sentiment builder "Happy"
I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. AAA cards - challenge No. 111- USE ONLY ONE THIRD
  2. Incy Wincy - March 19th challenge - NO MORE THAN THREE COLOURS (two, grey and navy)
  3. Scrapbook Stamp Society - challenge No. 136 - ANYTHING GOES + option of BIRTHDAY
  4. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 1811 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Papercraft Challenges - challenge No. 7 - SENTIMENT AS THE FOCUS

Well, it's a lovely card, but I'm not TOTALLY convinced about its suitability for the male of the species. Still just a little too pretty despite the blue/grey colour choices? Maybe it's just me? xxx

I think I am on the fence a bit as the colours work well and as it is leaves and not flowers it could work. Whatever it is a great card Kathy. x

Great design, Kathy! I think it could probably work as a card for a guy but it could work for a girl too :) Thanks for sharing at AAA Cards challenges.

Hi Kathy - love your card. I think it works for a chap being in navy and grey, and it's perfect for our challenge at Incy Wincy Designs - thanks for joining in!
