It's Easter weekend

Morning all,

First of all I should like to welcome my newest follower, Swati, thanks for stopping by, I hope you will stop by again sometime

Since the weather seems set to be so miserable this entire Bank Holiday weekend I'm starting as I mean to continue - with some crafting ......

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
  • White 12½cm square, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of blue textured card, cut to mat
  • Taking my stencil and brush I applied the Bahama Blue ink
  • Woodware foliage image stamped using Cobalt blue ink
  • HLS sentiment stamped using tuxedo black ink
  • Stardust stickles to bling up the flower "head"
Happy Little Stampers "Doodled Flowers", Woodware JGS439 "Small Fennel"
Stamposaurus stencil, Aldi brush, Memento and Ranger inks
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 368 - CASE CARD - see below ... I took the flower idea and the colour scheme
  2. Crafty Catz - challenge No. 410 - ANYTHING GOES + twist USE OLD STASH (July 2017 for Woodware image March 2015 for the stencil)
  3. QKR Stampede - challenge No. 289 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Fussy and Fancy - challenge No. 208 - SPRING FLOWERS

And on to another make ....

My card
And a closer view of my image panel - the colours are truer in the first pic though
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of grey card cut to mat
  • Snippets of card in both the white and grey
  • Using washi tape I secured my white snippet in place and, using two Aldi blending brushes, applied ink in grape jelly and London fog
  • With my panel secured in place and using the London fog ink I stencilled through the numbers, and dots then, using the grape jelly through the sunray stencil
  • I then die cut my faux stitched squares from the coloured panel and the grey card.
  • Floral image stamped using tuxedo black ink
  • I stamped the "swipe" using the grape jelly and then the Birthday sentiment using tuxedo black ink

Yes, miserable weather here too! An April deluge!
I love the gentle combination of the soft stencilled backgrounds and the single flower stamping on these elegant cards.

Yay! First in and on a bank holiday weekend too Kathy! Happy Easter and thanks for playing with us at Less is More with your superb elegant and CAS take on Aileen's floral card. The delicate stenciling behind your floral stem is the perfect addition and a little extra interest that goes a long way. x
