Saturday, it's the weekend!

Morning readers,

I've a couple of makes to share with you today ....... here's the first and it's a Christmas card! No surprise there then, it IS past the middle of November!

My card

and a closer view of the stencilled stars and maybe even the twinkle!

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • Kraft 4" x 4", 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of Kraft card, cut to fit
  • MFT (My Favorite Things) bear image (from BB-40 "polar bear pals") and Crafters Companion sentiment (from Sentimentals greetings - occasions") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour the image and a Pilot clear glitter gel marker used to add some sparkle
  • Tim Holtz mini star stencil (from set #38) through which I applied Distress Oxide in antique linen, using a makeupbrush

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Monday challenge - CHRISTMAS
  2. ABC of Christmas - November challenge - "W" is for WINTER WONDERLAND or "X" is for XTRA SPECIAL
  3. CRAFT - challenge No. 577 - CHRISTMAS
  4. Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 264 - CHRISTMAS/WINTER ANIMALS + A SENTIMENT
  5. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 517 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH "R"

And now for another make ...... this time I didn't forget it was the pesky One Layer Card challenge too!

My Card
And a closer view of the colouring/stencilling and twinkle
WIP on the front, back, insert and envelope!

  • One piece of Kraft card, cut to fit - for my insert
  • MFT image and sentiment (from SY01) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Memory Box Grid stencil (88517) placed over my image and (trying to avoid my stamped image) Distress Oxide in candied apple applied around the image

I love your two cute critters Kathy and both look great on kraft card and I think the stars with the polar bear and the grid with the penguin go beautifully as backgrounds and some wonderful colouring. Congrats on your Top 3 placement at Colour Crazy too...who could resist that cute duck. x

Two super cards Kathy, with really cute images. I had some Polychromos pencils for my birthday this month and planning to have a play with them this week. You've given me the inspiration not to be afraid of them!! xx
