Another lazy Sunday morning post

Morning all,

How's your Sunday shaping up? My OH is at his model club BBQ all day today so the day is MINE!!! I cracked on with the laundry and domestic chores yesterday so it really IS all mine today, I can craft my little socks off - mind you, it's too hot to be wearing socks in reality!

So, what did I achieve yesterday? Well, aside from the LIM challenge yesterday morning I faffed about with gesso drying and then crayons - fun, and not overly messy either!

My card
The inside of my card and reverse of my envelope
The front and back of my card
Hopefully, you can see the stickles here
Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 300gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • White and red card for image panel, insert and matting
  • Snippet of 300gsm water colour card, gesso'd
  • Maped Smoothy gel crayons (like Distress Crayons) in yellow, red and pink applied to snippet and blended with a moistened finger
  • Stencils from TCW and Stampers Anonymous used in conjunction with a moist (but not wet) baby wipe, to knock back from of the colour and also a piece of cut and dry and Ranger Archival jet black ink to add lines through the sketchy lined stencil
  • NBUS (Thanks, Darnell) in the form of stamping gear images from Inkadinkado stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Inkadinkado sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Stardust stickles used to highlight some of the letters and numbers
  • Crafters Companion Spray and Shine to seal and protect the water based products

My personal opinion (for what it's worth) is that this would make a cool exam congratulations card for a student .. what about you?

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Pixie's crafty workshop - challenge No. 241 - USE SNIPPETS
  2. WeLoveToCreate - challenge No. 16 - ANYTHING (Mixed media) GOES

Love this Kathy and it certainly is perfect for a successful student. Can't say I ever hear of any that are unsuccessful these days though. Or is it me, am I getting old? Don't answer that!
