Morning all - how's it going?

After yesterday's trip to the hospital for my specialist appointment regarding my hip and the shock of discovering that I appear to own odd hips (one appears to be 54 and the other around 70!) and that surgery is necessary, unsurprisingly, I found I couldn't really settle to much.

However, this morning I have got my head around the concept and felt the need to settle to some serious crafting as I had two challenges that I would like to have a go at, one being the Craft Mad and Loving It "TOTALLY TROPICAL" challenge and the other is the Bah Humbug "KISSMAS" challenge.

After a short while (ask anyone who knows me ...... I craft at the speed of light!!) I came up with this for the CMLI "Totally Tropical" theme - hope you like it!

Materials used:
  • 5" square white card with D.I.'s in spiced marmalade and barn door just colouring a border; and a matching envelope
  • 4.75" panel of white card - with rounded corners
  • Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Tropical Paradise image inked on to my base card in Memento tuxedo black and also on to a Post it to mask
  • Oval die cut waste taped in to position over the Tropical Paradise mask
  • Distress inks: mustard seed, wild honey, spiced marmalade, barn door
  • Art Stamp palm tree image inked in Memento tuxedo black
  • Pro Markers and Copic Atyou Spica gel pens to colour and highlight

Hope you are having a fab Tuesday - which I am, despite the day grey day outside - I've got Ronnie Dio blasting on the stereo and all is presently right in my little world!!

But you have made a beautiful card.It gives me a sunny feeling.
The weather here in the Netherlands is not good and very wet, at the moment. We scarcely see the sun.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that and that you need surgery. I hope you wont need to wait too long to get the appointment so you can get it out of the way.
Don't forget to pack all the essentials in your hospital bag... scissors, stamps, inks, ribbon .... You could start a business from your bedside!
Seriously though, I'm sure you'll be back to normal before you know it.
Hugs, Katie x
