Hi there and welcome to Sunday

The purple princess is away from her desk today - having a ball at Newbury Artstamps, no doubt!!! HOWEVER, here are a few photos of our progress Saturday - ENJOY

Greetings to my newest follower, Svetlana, here's hoping you will find a reason to pop back and visit from time to time too

Let the crafting commence!!!! Lauren and Wynneth making ready to make a mess!!! We didn't have many projects in mind (tags and bags) but did we do either? Well, actually - we DID make a few tags .... but not a bag in site!

Here is my sketchie take for Craft Mad & Loving It where we had to take our inspiration from the Starry Night painting by Van Gogh - all blues and silvers with a little yellow!

Materials used:
  • 5" square white 300 gsm card and envelope
  • 4.75" panel of light blue card
  • 4.5" panel of dark blue card
  • 4.25" panel of white card
  • Post its to mask off shape
  • Distress inks in weathered wood, broken china, chipped sapphire also mustard seed and wild honey
  • LOTV image inked in blue marvy matchables
  • Silver ribbon tied in a knot

Wynneth, making ready !!!?!??!??! for our foray in to the realm of staining seam binding using alcohol inks! What a lot of fun that was? Now we need never be without matching ribbon again. A few drops of a selection of alcohol inks along the ribbon, a quick squirt of the blending solution and scrunch ..... we also have to thank my dear hubby for leaving his modelling vinyl glove pack handy - just imagine the state of our hands without them!

Work in progress! See below for the selection made in moments - we all found it to be quite addictive and more fun than you could shake a stick at ..... but the fumes!!! Definitely a project for a ventilated work area - we had the window and the back door open but additionally opened the front door to disperse the fumes generated in producing this little lot!

Below you see some of our makes .... the first photo is of some of my makes, below that you can see Lauren proudly displaying some of hers and the bottom photo shows an acrylic tag which has been "in the planning stages" for a while but Wynneth made it today using alcohol inks - boy did we enjoy those inks?

Hopefully, there will be photos of the three of us plus Cherry and Debs at the Artstamps show in Newbury so do please check back in later (much later) or tomorrow - have a great Sunday

The ribbon staining looks great fun and the results are gorgeous on those tags....
I am watching Wimbeldon while trying to do some washing and catching some rays...just looking longingly at the photo of the villa and the pool...Seems like ages ago now.

How totally fabulous! You all look so hard at work and I love what you achieved with the alcohol inks. You are so much more adventurous than me!
