Morning and welcome to Sunday morning

Welcome to Sunday morning - managed to have a go at the sketchie last evening - it was trickier than I thought, using corrugated cardboard and this is actually plan B)!

Materials used:
  • 5" square white card and envelope
  • Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, coloured using Distress Ink in Faded Jeans
  • Circle of white card coloured using Distress Ink in Bundled Sage
  • Inkadinkado flourish inked in Bundled Sage on to the circle
  • Rectangle of white card inked using versacolour ginger
  • Strip of Costco paper die cut using a Sizzix Tim Holtz die and adhered to the top of my "ginger panel"
  • Craft Stamper freebie "Tempus fugit" inked in memento black across the Costco paper
  • Paper Artsy image inked in memento tuxedo black, cut out and then coloured using Distress Inks in Wild Honey and Pumice Stone. Glossy Accents then applied to the clock face, Quickie glue pen applied to "the crown" and then gilding flakes applied.
  • Corrugated cardboard die cut in to a scalloped oval and then the top layer ripped loosely off
  • Medium Retro flower punched twice, once using canvas and again using ribbed pearl card
  • Two distressed brads
  • Two faux crystal gemstones
  • Crystal Ice Stickles to highlight and finish

Sound busy? Well, the list of materials kind of got away from me but, actually, it was a lot of fun . . . and I still might use plan A) which involved a rectangle of corrugated cardboard and some gesso ........... remains to be seen!

Anyway, went off to have a go at the MONOCHROME entry for the Simply Less Is More blog - and this is what I came up with ...
Materials used:
  • C6 300gsm white card and envelope
  • Circular mask (resulting from the above card!)
  • Distress Inks: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick and Dusty Concord
  • Paper Mania sentiment and Imaginations image inked in Memento Grape Jelly
The Sunday themed challenge has just been posted over on Craft Mad & Loving it - it's WISHING, so I'll be off to have a go at that, after all, it IS raining!!! Have a great Sunday

Two absolutely tremendous creations young kathy, I love the sketchie with the vintage feel and fabby elements.

Your LIM card is gorgeous, I had thought of doing something along similar lines, but opted for an alternative (luckily!). I do love how you do the masking and DI technique. BTW don't know if you are aware, but the link on your thumbnail on the LIM blog links just to Craftbubble, not here.

Absolutely gorgeous Kathy! I am very envious at how you managed to knock up two stunners in one day....please bottle some mojo and post it to me!!! I am still looking for a cardboard box, isn't it typical that the house will be overflowing with the things one week and then hey presto Hubby finally recycled the little blighters just when you could use one!!!
